I would love it if some of you could give me some ideas for stocking stuffers for a 9 (getting fairly close to 10) year old girl that does not care for candy. She has a DS, but rarely plays it and I think the couple of games I used as stocking stuffers last year are still in the wrapper. She has a ton of jewelry already, that she and her friends have accumulated from Justice as birthday party favors and gifts to each other. I am at a loss for ideas this year!

My daughter is 9 and doesn't care for candy either. Some of my ideas are a spy pen (the kind that you can write and it makes it invisible), fancy notepads, mine craft, legos, stickers, small crafts like sewing kits.

My DD is 10. Stocking ideas are small notebooks, fun pens, small gift cards (claires, target), lip glosses, nail polish, headbands, earrings, gum, keychains (to go on backpack), bubble bath/bombs, shopkins...

fuzzy socks, gloves, scarves, hair accessories, flavored glosses, bath and body works purse hand sanitizers, glitter pens, toothbrush, gift cards, scratch offs (yes, I know she is underage, but my kids love these), etc

* gift cards -- Starbucks, Target, iTunes, movie theater. Even though small you can wrap in boxes so they take up more room.
* makeup stuff -- lip gloss/balm, nail polish
* toiletry items -- fun emery boards, bath gels/soaps, bath scrunchie, lotion
* hair accessories -- brushes, combs, head bands, hair clips, etc.
* desk time -- pens, sticky pads, pencils (smencils are big), erasers, stickers (my 12YO niece wanted some chocolate scented ones), craft items
* movies and CDs
* outdoor stuff -- hats, gloves, scarves, ear muffs
* socks, slippers, tights, leggings
* smaller toys -- legos, shopkins, minecraft, etc. Whatever she's into.

Silly Putty, Jacks, Cards (for Solitaire)

A the Wet Brush or the Wet Brush Comb, a bath scrubbie, Dairy Queen GC

My daughter is 10. She loves EOS lip balms (she collects all the different flavors), Bath and Body Works soaps and lotions (I buy the smaller size when they are on clearance 75% off), fuzzy socks, a personalized water bottle, a pair of earrings, tech gloves, a Beanie Boo, and a small gift card to ITunes.

So far for my DD turning 10 next week:
Lip Smackers
Frozen Necklace
Frozen Earings
Frozen Press On Nails
Frozen Roller Ball Perfume
Colored Pencils
An easier Adult Coloring Book (Snowflakes)

I plan on the Minions movie, an iTunes gift cards, earbuds and a keychain. I keep looking at those wet brushes. Her hair is always a tangled mess.

Thanks everyone for all the ideas! There are definitely some good ones here!

The Minions movie is a must I think! That will be good solid filler. My DD has long hair and a sensitive head. We have the wet brush. It isn't magic by any means, but I do think it is better than the other brushes. It seems to make her yell less. Although thinking about it, I'm not sure I've ever actually really used it on her hair when it is wet. I usually brush her hair out with it and get the tangles out before she gets in the shower. We've found brushing before keeps it from being that tangled after, but if we don't brush before it is a tangled wet mess after the shower.

Puffkin, I love the scratcher idea. Her grandparents have done that for everyone for Christmas before and she loved those.

Is there any expensive treat type of food she likes? My kids love those smoked meat pepperetts or fancy cheeses.

The tangle teezer is amazing - better than the wet brush when brushing dry hair. Wet brush we do love for after the shower though.

Does she like drawing/sketching? Staples has some great prices right now on coloured pencils, scented markers, pens and general drawing and craft supplies. This is what I grabbed last week for my youngest niece who is turning 10yrs. Their stuff is a bit different from Walmart, etc so fun to pick up something different.

When DD was this age she loved to read, so Barnes and Noble or Books a million gift card. She still ask for this today and she is a mommy now.:cloud9:
Other items were, pencils, pens, colored pencils, maybe a new pencil holder for the backpack to keep them from going to the bottom some cool folders or notebooks depending on the class needs.
A Disney poncho for rainy days, which was one of her favorite, and a big hit a school.
Lots of little stuff hand sanitizer, lotions, chap stick, burts bee's, clear lip gloss, Hair clips, brush, comb, hair bands. I found some travel size kids products hair detangler, mini sun screen she spent a lot of time in the pool and beach so this was nice when she would stay with friends.
Mittens, Scarves, and matching hat or some fun socks - At Kohls and Pennys they had so really nice ones at a good price. Check the Disney store online, I have picked up some thing here for stocking stuffer.
Movie GC, or the newest coolest movie
Frozen yogurt place, dairy queen, cold stone whatever ice cream place she likes.
Fast food GC, so if she is with her friends she can take care of herself.
Michaels and Hobby Lobby have some cute little things to put in.

If I could stick baked Salmon in the stocking she would probably be happy- but I don't think that is workable! ;)

Thanks to you all, since she screamed when I tried to put a comb through her wet hair last night (which she didn't brush out before getting in the shower), I remembered to pick up the wet brush and actually use it on her wet hair. I was amazed. It went easily through and got all the tangles out in just a few seconds. No complaints from her at all. I ran the comb through after the wet brush and her hair was almost totally tangle free from the wet brush.

Thanks everyone for even more great ideas! You have given me a ton of things to work with! She has a cabinet full of pens, colored pencils, and markers already, but some craft stuff would be fun. She loves Barnes and Noble, so she would love a giftcard there. She usually gets one from another family member, but she would be thrilled to have more. A cell phone cover would be a cruel joke though since I won't let her have a phone yet!!! ;)
