Just wondering if there is a stock pot in the 2br kitchen at BWV. We're planning on doing a seafood boil for 6....so if there isn't a large stock pot we'll have to bring it from home!

Thanks!

There is a very large pot in the units. It is the standard one that comes with most cooking sets.

I don't think it's that big. Probably depends on how serious a cook you are - it's not nearly as large as the ones I have at home. I'd call and ask how many gallons it holds.

If I remember, I think it is a 4qt size. Not what I would consider a stock pot.

Thanks...I will need to bring my bigger one, which holds, I think 8 quarts. Actually, I have an extra that I might just leave there. Someone else might find it useful!

I think it's a Dutch Oven 4 or 6 quarts but not a true 8 qt stockpot. email MS and see, they should be able to get the info for you. Or you could call the resort and get housekeeping. Rather than taking a large pot, I'd just get a second one from housekeeping if needed.

We had Lobstergram deliver huge and large amounts of crab legs last year to our room and were VERY glad we had also ordered the huge pot, since the ones in the room were nowhere near big enough. Two large pots would not have worked, the crab legs just were too long.

We plan on doing the same thing this year, and are just starting to wonder on how to get this huge pot down there, since we are flying this year. :)

Someone suggested calling the resort to see if they have a huge stock pot you can use, that is a great idea, something I would not have thought of.

Have a great trip.

How about a colander for draining pasta???? Also, is the stock pot big enough for cooking pasta. It would only be a group of about 4???

Thanks

There is a colander and a pot large enough to cook pasta. I do it all the time.
