We dined at STK Orlando twice - once just my husband and I and the second time with our son and his wife. Both times, we were seated at comfortable tables in the bar area, which was very nice. There was a DJ in the main area playing music we liked. Our reservations were around 7 pm both times, and we didn't think the music was too loud. The peppercorn crusted filet was spicy and beautifully cooked to a medium rare. The ribeye was also perfectly prepared. Sides of mashed potatoes and mushrooms were excellent, but I thought the portions were on the smaller side. By way of comparison, I'm fine with the portion sizes at Tiffins and other Disney signatures, which others find too small. The bread service was excellent (if you like blue cheese). Unless there has been a recent change, the restaurant serves bread only in the first floor dining rooms; if you are seated upstairs, you don't get bread. We requested first floor seating when we made the reservation so this wasn't an issue, but it seems bizarre to me. The service was very good both times. The wine list is nicely curated, but definitely on the pricey side. We had the Faust cab - I think it was $128 - that's on par with our better steakhouses in Chicago. We had a combo of sorbets for dessert, which everyone enjoyed.

Have been there once in the main dining room. I get the vibe they are going for, but the night we were there the DJ playing the music had it cranked up to the point where dinner conversation was strained. Steaks were good, salads and sides were nicely done, and the service was good but not great. My vote for best steakhouse in WDW still goes to Shulas at the Dolphin Hotel--price point is about the same but I have never had a disappointing visit to Shulas...and the ambience seems more fitting the classic steakhouse atmosphere, which I understand STK is trying to reinvent. The Shula's wine list is encyclopedic and, like most fine steakhouses, expensive, but there is something for everyone on it. STK has the luxury of a great Disney Springs location, where Shula's requires a trip to the Dolphin Hotel--but I think its a trip that's well worth it.

Good to know! Next time we'll put Shulas on the list.

An interesting take on location. I view it the other way around, especially if you don't have a car. Shula's is an easy boat ride for anyone who is at Epcot or DHS at some point during their vacation (which is going to capture 98% of all visitors, I would think). So your "trip" to the Dolphin is right there in front of you. Conversely, Disney Springs is a "trip" from anywhere and is more difficult to get to unless you are staying at one of the few resorts that has the watercraft option. For everyone else, it is a bus ride with sporadic service. (Or an uber).

Point taken--I was writing that from the perspective of an Old Key West guy--Disney Springs is right around the corner!
