I heard somewhere that castmembers sometimes let guests into some park rides before they open. Is there any truth to this? If so, how can I get into Stitch's ride before its opening on Oct 11? Is it something special for on property guests, or disney hotel guests, or guests at certain hotels? I'll be there at the end of june or start of july, and I heard that the unofficial soft opening for the ride has already passed in the month of march/april or something.

plz let'me know, I would really like to go in this ride uring my stay at disney.

The reason I'm asking this is because I just missed out Mission Space by a week last year, but a castmember in the infirmary said that sometimes castmembers will sneak guests into unofficially opened rides (like Mission Space). Since it was my last day, I never got to try and get in. If anyone knows i the "sneaking in" is true, plz post it.

Well when i was there last sept mickeys philharmagic was not open yet , but they did open it to AP holders for the weekend i was there. I was very happy to be one of the first. I think that opened in the begining of oct too. Thats my only thought on how to get in unless they do a totaly randem test run or something.

There is no such thing as "sneaking in." However, new rides and attractions often go through 'soft opening' or 'test and adjust' periods, where they're open to guests so that Disney can see how the rides works with an audience. These opening times are never announced and are generally something you just happen to stumble across.

As Skylarr mentioned, there are sometimes AP nights, where annual passholders can get a peek at the attraction before it opens, but those are usually much closer to the official opening day.

Your best bet is to ask at Guest Relations each day when you get to the park, and then check again when you get to Tomorrowland. And, whatever you do, don't try to sneak in on your own! That's a sure-fire way to NOT be invited to try a test ride!
