If I never seen Lilo and Stitch will I understand what's going on in Stitch's Great Escape?

Yes, you will. The plot is straightforward and no movie knowledge is needed.

I couldn't figure out what it had to do with the movie.

It has nothing to do with the movie. From what I have read, it is a bad attraction with no plot that is painful to sit through. Alien Encounter with Stitch characters. So I guess if you experienced AE, then you have already experienced Stitch.

It's supposed to be something that happens before the movie begins. A prequel of sorts. But, as in terms of quality of the attraction, I must agree with the above poster.

The only thing that the movie helps with is the understanding of the trouble and havoc Stitch causes. So, if you haven't seen the movie, know that Stitch causes trouble and havoc. :) There, now you are ready! :earboy2:

I haven't been on it yet either but I'm denfinitely going to check it out. I prefer to not let people or critics tell me what's bad or good. And believe me, so many people on this board hate the attraction. Experience it yourself and come to your own conclusions!

All you need to know is that stitch is wild and causes caos everywhere....Like TPing the castle and stuff

While Stitch's Great Escape doesn't make the top 10 for me, it is still worth experiencing. Be sure to sit extra straight and tall when the shoulder harness system senses your height, otherwise the harness will be uncomfortable during the presenttion.

I agree with Laugh. We will go on it and see how it is for ourselves. My son loves Stitch. If we like it I am going to come back and write a glowing post about it just to contradict all of the people who insist on starting new thread after new thread on how awful it is! I stopped reading the reviews after the third new thread appeared saying it was awful. If I don't like it I won't write anything rather then start another whole thread about how I hated it.

Four of us went to Disney World earlier this month...Two of us had read the bad reviews. I might add that our ages (all women) were 61,54, 37,and 20...and we had prepared ourselves to..perhaps..be a bit disappointed.... :guilty: But, out of curiosity...Well..we just had to see it! :cool1:
Well.. we weren't disappointed at all. Actually, it was quite cute...especially for the ages..7 through 15 crowd. The young man next to me kept jumping (from what little jumping one could do being strapped in)..yelping..and laughing. :jumping4:

I am bringing my family back next month...including four grandchildren...and ....Stitch will definitely be one of the attactions they will see. :grouphug:

Is it made a little less scary than the AE was? Just curious... my younger two have never been on AE because we didn't think they'd enjoy it AT ALL... but my son now really wants to do the new "Stitch" thing... I didn't know it was still going to be like AE. Is it a little less scary now that it's stitch? (he'll be 7.5 at that time and likes Stitch)

From what I've read, WDW is going to rehab Stitch already because it is exactly like Alien only with Stitch inside the tube. I haven't been on it yet, but I guess the powers-that-be aren't happy with it.

The rumor I had read here on the Dis was Stitch would be closed down starting in January for a rehab. As far as I know this has not happened yet. It will be interesting to see if it does.

SGE is suppose to be pre-Lilo, when he was Experiment 626. Too bad they (and even Stitch) refers to 626 as Stitch.

It is slow, but not horrible. The times I have seen SGE, guests are leaving smiling and laughing. Yet I read nothing but bad about it.

SGE is not worth waiting in a long line. But is worth experiencing at least once on a trip.

I'm having a hard time understanding that someone would NOT want to watch Lilo and Stitch! I'm kid-less and have seen it at least 10 times... I may wear my DVD out. :earboy2:
