Stitch's Great Escape? Any news?

I know Stitch's Great Escape is set to open sometime in the Fall 04 but I was wondering if anyone had heard about a possible opening day? We will be there in late August and was hoping for a soft opening.

I read on another unofficial Disney site that the official opening date was set for Oct. 1st which should mean soft opening dates sometime in late Aug. if I am remembering correctly from last years Mickey's Philharmagic soft opening dates.

We were there in April. We don't remember seeing this. Our April trip was our first time there. Where is stich located?

It is taking the place of Alien Encounter, which was on your left as you enter Tomorrowland.

The outside still has a barricade surrounding it and doesn't look new so far. All we could see were some big buckets that probably contain paint.
We did hear Stitch's laugh once very briefly as we walked by.

Take a ride on the TTA. You will hear more of Stitch as you go by.

We rode TTA that afternoon. We only heard him while walking by. I will "have to" try it again this weekend.
