I heard somewhere that they are removing Cosmic Ray's, Auntie Gravity's, and Stitch's Great Escape to make room for a new ride called Stitch's Galactic Coaster. Anyone else heard of this? Also heard Ray's, Auntie's, and Stitch are being removed as soon as November this year. Any truth to this? Thanks.:)

Cosmic Ray's is one of the busiest quick service restaurants in the nation. I highly doubt that it would be removed.

I have a feeling that's a lie. Stitch does need an update but I doubt they would get rid of Cosmic Ray's to do it.

I would love for some disney tomorrowland updates.

Agreed.

Opinion: We've yet to enjoy a meal at cosmic rays. It feels grungy, outdated and the food is mediocre. Plus, we're not to keen on Sonny ;)
Needless to say, it will not be missed by a few of us!

They most likely won't take out the restaurants, as they are busy and subtracting the amount of those during peak seasons is going to make crowds in other quick service places, and put others at an inconvenience, and cosmic ray's is the busiest of those two, and the busiest in the park as a whole. They should remove stitch, as it's the worst ride in the park (one guide to the rides only said "dont ride it").

If they wanted to put in a new rollercoaster in Tomorrowland wouldn't it be better to get rid of the speedway and use all that real estate for a coaster?

I highly doubt this. I can't see them spending all that money on a IP that really isn't that popular anymore (and some would argue was never popular). Also, MK already has 4 coasters, can't seem them building a 5th.

I cannot believe you dont think Stitch is popular. Sorry but I think you are wrong on that one.

That would break my DS3's heart! After the "up down horsies" and the teacups it's his favorite ride at Disney.

I'd like to see this, as long as the coaster is in the same league as Space Mountain or Big Thunder. I love Lilo & Stitch, especially the original songs, but hate Stitch's Escape.

We've eaten several times at Cosmic Rays but we disliked the singing. We ate in the other room last time and it's ok, but it's a very boring and un-themed room, like an old-school corporate cafeteria in the basement of an office tower. If they have to make another quick-service restaurant in Tomorrowland then it should be easy to make a really cool, really well-themed eatery. Something inspired by the Jetsons, Bespin (the cloud city) or better yet, a space station (with simulated rotating stars) or a nighttime Coruscant effect. And no, I don't want Cosmic Ray turned into the obese diner chef from Phantom Menace!

I don't believe this rumor is going to happen. As other's have said, they aren't taking dining and shopping out for rides. That's not the Disney way.

As I previously stated this probably will not happen, as much as I would enjoy this. It would be really neat in my opinion, if at Typhoon Lagoon they put in a water slide that was stitch themed. That park is already Stitch themed so why not had to that?

It would be cool to see a new attraction, but I think MK doesn't need anything new because New Fantasyland is so fresh. I would like to see a Tomorrowland update though...

Like most the stich ride is dated, although my youngest really enjoyed it, as she's a big fan of stich. But disneys needs to look at what's going to get more crowds in to enjoy the new and classics that they have. The biggest thrill rides Everest, TofT, rock n roller are great but you need something bigger better more thrilling, this would bridge a gap in the teen age group. IMO
My kids love disney but the lure of the trill rides at uni is what they are heading for

Disagree very much.

Disney is very much at the moment trying to make more from their existing IP. As for stitch popularity - have you seen how crazy they are for the lil guy in Japan/Asia?

Not to sound overly cynical, but I'm shocked that people are already off-and-running on page #2 of this post without having bothered to question the validity of this "I heard it somewhere" source.

Was this a 3rd shift bus driver, or the person sitting next to you at Conrad's claiming to be a "higher-up" within Disney executive management as he awaited a $19.99 oil change & tire rotation?

I tend not to take anything too seriously coming from someone having just joined the DIS within the past week and having only 2 posts under his/her belt (posting on the Rumors forum, nonetheless), no matter how convincing the username or avatar may be...
