Stitching???

Ok I have one of those questions that only a newbie would ask.....I see pages on twopeas that look like they have stitching(from a sewing machine) on them.
Is that what I'm seeing or is it something else. I do like the effect and might try it if I new what it was. Is there a special kind of thread or ribbon one would have to use or are most of them safe to use.

yes they are wither stitching by hand OR machine stitching - both are quite common & any thread should be fine...look on twopeas for a thread explaing how its done - or check scrapjazz.com

They also have new rub ons that look like stitching: they are so cute!

I just saw an article that showed using a pattern tracing wheel around the edges of an item so that the poked holes give the appearance of stitching.
