I have seen in magazines and layouts where the paper looks like it has been sewn on. Is this a product or can you actually use your sewing maching to put the stitching on the paper? If so how do you do it? Can you use one of those little hand held machines or a regular sewing machine? If a regular machine, do you have to have a special needle? Thanks.

You can sew on paper with a sewing machine. I remember taking a class and we practiced sewing patterns on paper. Just do it slowly.

Just adjust your stitch tension and also your feed dogs. I think heavier paper would be easier, and definately something with a little texture to it to catch the feed dogs.

Good luck!

I am not sewing-inclined, so I just use a ruler and paper piercer and poke holes every half a centimeter and sew by hand. It's easy, although a little time consuming!

You can get a little machine at Michaels that will do this. It's cheap! $10, but it was on sale for $6.99 a couple of weeks ago.
