Stitch To replace Pumpkin Men?

Has anyone heard any specifics on this announcement?

I'll be going to DL in mid october to partake in their awesome Halloween festivities. I love Stitch but had a special place for the Pumpkin men.

Will they be completely abandonned or their participation diminished?

I'd heard a similar rumour myself. I gathered it was because the Pumpkin Men were not considered very 'Disney' by those in charge. It's a shame because they do make quite a display and the street entertainers who dress as Pumpkin Men were brilliant the last time I went. It would be a real shame. I'm not a great fan of Stitch, myself to be honest

Too bad! I have great pictures of the Pumpkin Men last season and their presence on Main Street and Frontierland was highly original. The daily Pumpkin/Witch battle in Town Square was also highly entertaining...

They will still be around this year, but not to the extent of previous years. And this may be the last time - there was a bit of insider info on this thread.
