I don't think that there is any other Disney character that can cause as much difference in opinion as Stitch. From reading so many posts here on the Dis, I'm amazed at how different people look at this character.

So let's do a little poll, and see where how most people feel about this guy.

Personally I'm in the I can't stand him group. I think he is probably the worst character that Disney has ever come up with. I don't like anything about him. The movies, the attraction, the wake up call, not a thing.
But I also know that some people love him.

So let's see what we get.

i think he's really cute, and i like the interactions the character does, and i love the movie (i met some of the artists who made him, on a trip to disney world, once, so he holds a special place in my heart)

i do not, however, like the ride AT ALL. i really hate it.

I LOVE Stitch and I LOVE his ride at the Magic Kingdom:thumbsup2

The ride used to be called Alien Encounter and I loved it then, but the idea was a bit too scary for little kids so they softened it with Stitch, that's why the ride isn't too coherent with any of the story lines.

Why do I love Stitch? Because he's got his own mind of course;)

What I don't get is how come the line for the ride is always so long when everyone says they can't stand it?

Aw, seriously, how can anyone not like the adorable little guy?!

Behind Winnie-the-Pooh, Stitch is my second favorite Disney character!!

I love his movies, stuffed animals, etc. And one of the highlights of my trip to Disney in March with my Mom was having my picture taken with him!!

I just  him to pieces!!!

And I love the ride at WDW too!!

We LOVE Stitch!!!! He always go to the parks with us!!!

Hate hate HATE him. My cousin thinks it's funny to say odd things in the background of stranger's videotaping at WDW so when they get home and watch it, they'll hear something odd in the background(like my Cousin loudly asking why all the people are lined up on mainstreet just before the parade starts, or what time does the elctrical parade start...in DHS). Anyhoo, his very favorite was the time they were watching a parade and my cousin shouts to his son (very close to a stranger with a videocamera) "Look kids...it's STOOTCH!!:

So now, anytime DH and I see that obnoxious rude little alien, we yell "Look kids...it's STOOTCH!"

Don't know the ride, can't STAND the character and that movie... two hours I'll NEVER get back... :sad2:

I really strongly dislike Stitch, with an immense passion.

Plus, that ride in WDW makes me sick. Ugh.

I love the movie (especially after the first ten minutes or so). It is probably my favorite modern Disney movie. The attraction at MK is obnoxious and weak. At the risk of getting all analytical, the character is an antagonist and a catalyst. I think I like the movie so much because it takes Disney's orphan theme and brings some real emotion to it. There is a lot going on in the movie, plus the painting and the music are great.

BTW, does anyone else see a strong similarity between Stitch and Gurgi (the annoying strange little creature from the Black Cauldron).

watch the first part of this video, and see if you see the similarity.

Maybe I'm just crazy, but to me they are very similar.

I don't have a problem with Stitch, my problem is with Disney for the overStitching of WDW! The ride/show should have been torn down and made into something else years ago when it was obvious it had outlived it's usefullness.

The Stitch wake up call was cute for about 6 months tops. This is DISNEY! We want to hear Mickey Mouse, or one of the hundreds of other Characters they could use. Heck, change it out so it is a different one every day of the week or month. A 2 year old can record a voice mail message. How hard can it be for Disney to get it's voice people to record a bunch of wake up messages, load them in the computer and mix things up a bit?

Keep selling Stitch plush, shirts etc. Keep him for a character meet and greet. Heck, he even fits in well with the Poly Character meal so keep him there. But that is enough. Time to move on Disney.

I have to agree with this. There is just something avout him that is not as good as other disney characters.

There should be no question about how I feel about Stitch. :rotfl2:

Love him! Think he is great. Always have great interaction with him. Always leave me laughing. :lmao:

I like him, he is something the boys can relate to and always seems to be getting in trouble. I don't really care for the ride, but as a character he is fun and entertaining to watch. My boys love him because he is full of energy and always up to something.
Although at this point, I am so tired of the princesses that any that isn't related to a princess is a plus in my book.

I thought the Lilo and Stitch movie was just okay (but really like Hawaiin Roller Coaster Ride) and the Stich character was annoying. I think the utilitzation of the Stich character beyond the movie (wake up call, that god awful ride, etc) is irritating to the Nth degree. I greatly dislike when Disney over markets or pushes a characer anyway (especially when they turned all the Princesses into a personalityless pink mob which we refer to as the Stepford Princesses)--pushing an already obnoxious character harder than all the others really makes we want to scream.

love Stitch, not too crazy about the ride, though.

I like Stitch. Loved the movie, have never been on the ride based on all the horrible things I have read on the Disboards.
