Stitch is Troubled - He Needs Desserts!! - Nov. 24-29, 2015 - Day 6 updated 2/3

I hope you and family had a great Christmas and a very happy new year!

Cape May is one of my husband's favorite places. The Beach Club decorations were just lovely.

Yummy looking lunch! I've only had the quick service Yak & Yeti. My family loves Tusker House and we've had a few trips where we've skipped AK altogether, so I'm not sure when I'll ever eat there.

Trouble with the room?! Yikes!

To add insult to injury, we got a text that there was a problem with our room and stop by the front desk when we returned to the resort. Great. Just great. Since we had already checked in, we were like WTH?
Hey, you tricked me! :P I'm here but you haven't updated yet! :-)
What happened with your room??

Thanks Annie!! I hope you and your family did as well!!

I just love the Christmas decorations at Beach Club.

We really love Yak and Yeti TS. It never disappoints us.

Yes - trouble - but we got it all sorted out.

Day 3 – Part Three

We still had FP’s for the safari so we headed that way.

We hopped on with our last fast pass of the day, and headed out for our 2 week trip.

After that, we headed back over to Art of Animation to see what was going on with our room and magic bands.

So we stepped up to the desk to see what was wrong and they said that one of our magic bands had gone bad and they couldn’t link it to the room. So, we were like – you know – whatever – give us a new magic band then. So they did and then I brought up the fact that our dining credits were not correct and she said, oh yeah – that is right, but I can’t fix it. She had to get a manager and for some reason it took them over an hour to get it all sorted out. The manager was very nice, and got it all sorted out eventually. And then she apologized and asked us that magical question. “Is there anything I can do to make up for all of your trouble?” And normally, I would say, no we are fine now. But curiosity got the best of me and so I asked ….”like what?” She asked us which park we were going to the next day and we said Magic Kingdom. And she gave us three extra fast passes for each person for the day – YAY!! We so pleased with that and thanked her profusely. It was super busy at the parks on that week and those extra FP’s were such a big deal to us.

So, with that all finally sorted out. We headed to the room to see it finally and dump our stuff for the remainder of our trip. YAY!!

I didn't know you started a report, I would have been here sooner.

My grandson is like your DS with pictures I need to sneak them in. Disney he still likes though so I'm happy with that. I didn't realize the 1 bedrooms were so roomy. I may need to consider that in 2 years when I take all 8 grandkids and their parents plus my daughter's BFF and her son.

People asking a million questions about ingredients would have annoyed me until recently. We just discovered the youngest grandson has a pretty bad peanut allergy so we have to be super careful now. Planning meals will be an experience when we head down to accommodate his allergy.

I love the decorations and really wish I could have fit a quick trip in for the Osborne lights but since I am going to Scotland in July I couldn't see spending the money for the lights.

I ate at Yak and Yeti for the first time in September and was surprised by the food. It was very good and those wontons made the whole lunch.

Looking forward to more.

Hey Lorrie!!!

I'm so glad you are here!! Yes, the one bedrooms - especially at Old Key west are very roomy and will easily sleep 5 - more if you have a blow up bed. There is plenty of room. Rent points if you can. It is soooo much cheaper than paying Disney's rack rate prices. Like half as much. When I post photos of the AOA suite we had you will see how nice and roomy that is as well. Not as roomy as the OKW 1 BR, but still we loved it.

Yes, I feel your pain on the p-nut allergy. We have gotten really good ad figuring out what is best for her to eat. That is why we tend to go back to the same places to eat. Because we know for sure they are safe for her. The chefs at WDW are always amazing and they will let you know what you need to stay way from.

I really enjoyed the lights and all of the Christmas decor. I just love Disney during that time of year.

Whoa!! SCOTLAND!!! Sooo exciting!! You will have to tell me alllll about that trip!!!

Thanks so much for checking in!!!

I hope you have a Happy New Year!!

I plan on renting points, paying for that many people and rooms is going to be expensive but I came into some money recently. Taking all the grandkids on one trip has been a dream for a long time so I am treating.

The peanut allergy is scary. The 23 month old shared a sandwich with the 9 month old. Thankfully my daughter saw it and grabbed it out of his mouth before he swallowed. Even with that, and the small piece of sandwich was in his mouth for seconds, the babies face swelled and broke out in hives and his voice got weird. The allergist said if he had swallowed it he could have died because the change in his voice was his airway swelling. Very scary.

Our trip in 2 years is being planned for the week after Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see the kids reactions to all the decorations and hopefully the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian.

The Scotland trip came up and I couldn't pass. It will just be my mom and me and I cannot wait. After all we went through last year with my dad we need it. I will post pics on FB when we get back. The trip is my birthday present to myself and will give my husband time to finish the plans on my surprise party. I have a big "0" birthday this year.

Hope you and your family have a Happy New Year and you get to be with Jerry in Texas soon.

That's awesome that they made it up to you with the fastpasses. Makes the aggravation a little less annoying.

It was crazy busy that week, Much busier than any Thanksgiving we had been. I'm certain it was because everyone was wanting to see the lights for the last time. Those extra fast passes really made our Magic Kingdom day extra great!! And it really was nice to finally get everything straightened out. We had a bunch of trouble with them prior to the fix.

That sounds like so much fun!! I bet they are so excited.

The allergist said if he had swallowed it he could have died because the change in his voice was his airway swelling. Very scary.

We found out in a similar manner. Hannah was about 18 months old and my niece was babysitting. She gave Hannah a piece of her cookie and then put her down for a nap. When I got home later and she woke up, her eyes were swollen shut. We had to try and narrow it down to what she had eaten that day. We took her to the doctor and it took several days for her swelling to go down. The white part of her eyeballs swelled over her irises. Crazy scary stuff. We had her tested at 4 years old and she failed the first phase right away. So we always carry and epi pen everywhere we go. No real major problems since then, but we are ever vigilant.

Our trip in 2 years is being planned for the week after Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see the kids reactions to all the decorations and hopefully the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian.

That is such a great time to go. They will love it.

Joining in! We were there for a few of the same days you were for the same reason - to see the Osborne Lights one last time! I'm still so sad they are going away forever. They are truly amazing!

We never did get to go over and see them turned on, but I bet that is a really awesome moment to witness.

The Cars suite looks so amazing!! Maybe one day we will get to stay in one before my DS grows out of his Cars obsession.

YAY!! Thanks for stopping by!! We have been at Thanksgiving before and I thought it was the most crowded I have seen it at Thanksgiving. I think that was specifically because this was the last year for the lights. They really are amazing. I am so glad we got to see them one last time.

My son is 16 and basically the grumpiest person on earth. But he loved the Cars Suite. We really enjoyed it.
