Our family is coming from TX and we will all be staying in Disney's good neighbor hotels.

The Marriott Anaheim and Residence Inn. All together we will have 4 rooms. To get the Stitch hat, did we have to make it through a special way, or do we just ask at check in for the cards?

Hey there MaliaMike! I think the reservations and tickets had to be booked online through the Disney Travel website...and they only just got that info added into the program like a week and a half ago! How did you guys reserve your rooms and park tickets?

There was another thread on the topic. In short you needed to make your reservatsion on-line via disneyland.com; include hotel and park tickets of 2 nts or more to see the VMK Rewards package.

Not sure how they were made. My Aunt in TX made all the reservations. Just found out tonight where we were even staying. I will ask them tomorrow when we meet them at the airport.

The reservation had to be a package through the Disney Travel Company and you get the stitch cards in your park documents. About 21 days prior to arrival you get a Fed Ex package with your tickets, meal vouchers and any other park documents you need. The VMK cards are in the package.

I have a package booked and I wanted my hat and the earliest I can get it for my May visit is April.

They just started sending out the packages with the Stitch cards this week so even if your Aunt booked it as a package chances are her documents wouldn't have the cards in them. She would have received the paperwork before they started sending out the cards.

How totally irritating for anyone that just misses this like I think your family did.

Oh well, it was worth a try.

Thank you for your answers!!

I have 13 tomorrowland quests printed out and filled in,
answers to the other quests
and four pdfs from completing the mickey hunt, so we will still get some stuff.

Now to write down where to buy what for cards at DLR.

Anything else I am forgetting?

I called tonight to book my reservation for my trip in April. The above information is correct:

The package MUST be booked thru the DLR travel group. You must have a minimum of 2 nights stay and add tickets to get the package. In addition -- there is only *1* set of cards PER reservation, no matter how many people are on it. It is good for Disneyland hotels as well as the Good Neighbor Disneyland area hotels.

Woot :) I should be getting my package in the next 2 weeks!

Lets think about the arguments a some familys will have over these cards. A Mom, Dad and three VMK playing kids and ONE set of Stitch cards. That just screams argument!

Disney really thought out that one!

Timing worked in our favor for this, as we had unused SWA credit we needed to use before June... So a trip to DL was in our future anyway. But I must say, it totally sucks that is is ONE set of cards PER reservation.

These are virtual things VMK boss's... what does VIRTUAL cost them????... I suppose printing costs should be taken into consideration, but still.... they should provide cards for everyone in the party. Or at the very least a set for each child....

It might be worth your while to call Disney Travel and tell them that everyone in your party plays VMK and can you get more than one set? They added stitch cards for each member of my party when I called them instead of just one per reservation. - Darn! My DD was logged in. This was supposed to be by justliketink...
