I saw something that I thought was incredibly stupid yesterday. I was on my way to work, and a lady walked between my car, and the sidewalk. This was on a busy street, and I stopped moving because I thought I'd hit her if I did. Why on earth wasn't she on the sidewalk?

Good morning girls!

Yesterday was a good mail day! I didn't get it until just now, but I got my travel documents for Jamaica, rings I ordered (like the ones Cat got us), and my free Universal ticket from that Heroes contest. I've never been to Universal, but now I might just have to go this year before it expires. It is a 2-park, 7 day unlimited pass for free.

We also went shopping for our trip this weekend so I got my sunscreen, snorkel stuff, water shoes, and bubba kegs!

I saw something that I thought was incredibly stupid yesterday. I was on my way to work, and a lady walked between my car, and the sidewalk. This was on a busy street, and I stopped moving because I thought I'd hit her if I did. Why on earth wasn't she on the sidewalk?

I would have given her horn and gently tapped her.

I refrained from drunk dissing yesterday. We went to Kerry Piper from Noon until 5:00. Then, I came home and retreated to the couch for the rest of the evening.

Abby still has her face paint on from last night. I hope it is not all over her pillow.

Sun ~ You have to get your own snorkel gear? Doesn't the hotel provide it? Also I have been meaning to tell you, you know not to go anywhere in Jamaica right? It is a dangerous place. I mean safe if you stay at your resort or take resort transportation to excursions, etc. But don't go out on your own walking down the street or something. For us, we were so happy just to lay in the sun and enjoy the all-inclusive beverages that we never did anything outside of our resort!

That would let me be lazy for the next four months! It's like a tree I keep decorated all year, but change for different holidays. I have St. Patricks stuff to put on it, but it's still Valentine's Day tree. I think I may just put on the Easter stuff and not think about it again until May. The Easter lights are the ones I really like too, all pastels.

For our honeymoon, we went to Riviera Maya for 9 days and we only did 1 excursion for a few hours. I loved the resort so much, we never wanted to leave! I can lay at the pool or beach all day. I'm not one who gets bored doing that.

So, what did you all do today? It was really nice here today. Near 60. Abby played outside with the neighbor most of the day. We ran to Menards and ordered our new countertop! We bought a new sink too. The countertop will be a couple of weeks though b/c it has to be custom made.

It is supposed to be in the 60's for the next two days. I can't wait to run outside. I should have went today, but I was lazy. I should run in my undies like on Amazing Race tonight.

Well our weather is weird. Yesterday was snow, rain, wind, the power went out for a couple of hours. Weird weather. When the power went out I had a roast in the oven too. But we made it work out when it came back on. It's 36 right now so hopefully we won't have a snow day!

Amazing race! Funny! We love that show. I usually let the kids stay up until 9 some nights to watch some shows together as a family. Otherwise bedtime is 8 or 8:30 for the little ones. But recently they are up until 9 every night because Amazing Race on Sunday, Dancing on Monday, Idol Tues and Wed, Survivor on Thurs. Every night has turned into family TV night. I dont let them finish the two hour ones though. 9 is late enough!

Oh, I forgot the countertop and sink! I tried to comment everything but I missed that! What kind of countertop did you get? I want to do a new countertop so badly. I like my sink though. It is big and deep. It can hold a 13 x 9 pan to soak. I love it being so big, and also double sided too. My neighbor has a beautiful new house, but her sink is small. It is very deep, but there is no way she could soak a 13 x 9. Well, maybe she could soak it upright, it's really really deep!

I've been reading reviews on this place and they say the food is just OK. That will be a bummer b/c DH and I were sooo spoiled in Mexico on our honeymoon. If you and your DH want to get away in Mexico, go to Excellence Riviera Cancun. It is in the Riviera Maya. They had the best food! My friend went there based on my recommendation for a quick 4 day getaway and she agreed. She just got back from Riu Cancun and said the food did not even come close to ERC. I can't say enough good things about ERC. It is adult only though so no kiddies.

Do you get in any March Madness pools? I run a bracket pool. It is kind of small, around 30 people or so. I might get into another bracket pool this year which is huge. A lot more ways to win. I love March Madness. It makes me sad though b/c we used to go every year to Vegas for it.

Abby doesn't watch any of our shows yet. She does stay up until 9 though and then we make her go to sleep. That kid is always on the go and NEVER tired. I guess that is a good thing so if we ever want to stay out late. We have to wake her up in the morning too. She's a sleeper.

We are getting laminate that looks like granite. Our kitchen layout stinks so we do not have very much counterspace. Right now we have the awful butcher block laminate looking stuff. Our cabinets are old, but not too bad so we are not going to put the money into replacing those. It's just not worth it b/c of the layout. So, the granite looking countertop is a cheap fix to make it look a little nicer. We went with a darker color so it should look good with the stainless & black applicances. It is called gold flake granite or something like that (the color). I'll post some pics once it is in. Definitely will not be until after vacation.

No, I'm not in any pools or anything. I just like to watch it. I'm excited for UW and it is our local boy's senior year, then he goes into the NBA. It will be fun to see how far they get. Sweet 16 is when I'm on vacation though, so I'll have to get to a TV somehow if they go that far!

My kids are not that great in the sleep department. GRRRRR two of them are staying home today b/c they "have a stomach ache". They love to ruin my day off. DD was getting in the car to go to school when she started crying. I wanted to say BS. But instead I said back to bed and early bedtime until you can go to school without being sick all the time. Now I can watch Dancing without the little ones tonight!!!

Gossip time! So my in-laws go out of town for the winter in their motorhome every year and I get their mail for them. My SIL lived there for a while a couple of years ago because she got divorced so some of her mail still goes there. She is about 45 years old. Last summer she married a guy 10 years younger than her and they live with his parents. Sounds very mature so far right? Anyway, I have noticed that she gets a letter from her bank almost daily. So I have been trying to figure out what that could be? Why a daily bank letter. Does she bounce checks every day and get a daily notice that she is out of money. What is it? So today I held the letter up to the light and I can see the following:

Bankruptcy notice
bankruptcy or have been disc
purposes and is not an attempt to collect
credit report

So does that mean she has filled for bankruptcy? Or are they reporting that someone else is bankrupt? Maybe the ex-husband? Wouldn't your bank be one of the places that would know your current address? Usually old mail that goes to your parents address is unimportant. Wouldn't her husband notice that they don't get bank statements?
