Man sometimes I am glad we don't have kids yet so we don't have to go searching for these crazy toys, but I know our time will come! LOL!

Yes DH knows he is in the dog house. At first I thought he was joking but he was like no she will be back in 30 minutes to pick it all up. It was marked $175!!!!! First off I don't know what in the tarnation he was thinking accepting her offer of $20. And second, what kind of person offers $20 for something that is marked $175???? I would have haggled with her but no less than $100. It was a $600 set!!!

She had already been to the sale earlier and I sold her my barstools marked down from $75 for the 3 of them (VERY nice upholstered stools) down to $45. I think she was just taking advantage of him. She saw I wasn't there and she swooped in!

You can always go all out when passing out candy. Dress up and be in character - that's what I plan on doing when the kids get bigger.




My kids are going to be Jedi for Halloween, here's a picture of them from last weekend when we went Trick or Treating at Greenfield Village.

We went to a new target this morning and boy was it NICE! It was huge too. WE were on a search for Bakugans:

It's going to be the HOTTEST toy this Christmas. We searched a dozen stores and finally found 2 left at Toys R Us. DD ran to the Bakugan section as soon as we got in the store, it was a good thing she did to. By the time I got to her there was a dad and his son over there looking for them too- DD grabbed the last ones. Phewwww! She and DS each got one. There was only one of those balls in a pack and it was $7.99. I looked on ebay last night and there was one going for as much as $52 I never even heard of these things before 2 nights ago.

We had a yard sale this morning. Made about $200. Not too shabby. Could have been worse but my doofus DH sold our dining room table and 5 chairs for $20 while I was gone to take a load of stuff to Goodwill.

Now we're just resting. We're both exhausted from the whole sale thing so we decided to put off more packing until tomorrow.

I spent ALL day cleaning out DD's 2 rooms. We packed up a lot of toys, organized everything, UGH! Horrible project! I threatened that if I ever find her rooms like that again, the stuff is going in the garbage!

I have to take her to a b-day party at Jump It Up in about 1/2 hour. My plan was for DH to come with and we go out to eat while she is at the party. However, DH was unaware of my plans and he is doing leaves right now so I guess that is not happening.

Tomorrow we are going to the Bears game!

We have to get up the crack though to tailgate. Like 6:00AM on a Sunday. UGH!

Oh man that really stinks! My DH is like that, I usually do the haggling when we sell anything, especially cars. People can sense his haggling weakness and dive right in for the kill.

Yeah...its ok. I just keep telling myself its one less thing we have to move. There's nothing I can do about it now so no need to dwell on it. I actually kind of had a warm fuzzy earlier thinking about her family maybe having dinner together at a table for the first time in a long time.

I know what y'all mean. We are selling off the contents of our office (over 10 yrs of office equipement and such). DH was like - well if they buy the other stuff I'll just throw in the trees for free. I told him that he'll do nothing of the sort - those things cost.

We're on our way to the store. I've gotten the urge to find some of those light up halloween lights on stakes to put in the front yard. You can never have too manyh Halloween Decorations! (DH would beg to differ with me. )

Evidently it's based on some Japanimation cartoon. I got my crash couse of it on the internet yesterday. Each ball has points on it when it opens up. You don't know your points until you buy it and pop it open. I have no clue what you do with them once you find out your points though.
If your DD likes boys toys too, start looking for them now. Like I said, I never heard of them before 2 days ago. DD8 came home from school and was going to die if she didn't get one. We went out last night and today, boy am I glad we found one (2 actually) today. I made DD and DS use some of their Disney money for them. I figured if they wanted it that bad they can pay for it. Every store we went to had a large Bakugan section, the average of 15-20 hooks, and EVERY HOOK WAS EMPTY!

Hmmm. I wonder if it's a Michigan thing???? The only boy thing DD is into is Star Wars (so far). She keeps checking out Star War books from her school library so DH is happy.

Abby got picked for the Jedi Training at Disney and it was hysterical. When Darth Vader came out, she got really scared. I thought for sure she was going to run off the stage. She didn't know what was happening. DH was videotaping. I'll have to see if I can find out and get a clip on here, assuming he caught it. We came home with 2 build your own light sabers.

I've been in a training class downtown this week. What a pain in the butt! Makes me appreciate living & working in the burbs. The only good thing is they feed us breakfast and lunch.

Other that that, it is adding an hour to my day. I've been taking the train.

It's a nice change, but not something I would want to do everyday.

I have to put up my Mickey Mouse Plug in Pumpkin thing... can I tell you I kick myself in the butt for not having bought all they had at KMart when I got that thing? It's like 10 years old... one of those spongey pumpkin things, you plug in - but it's a mickey head. They had Goofy and and I think Donald (or Minnie) too.... havent ever seen them again. I should post a pic of that too.
