Has anyone used Native Way in Grand Cayman for the Stingray City Tour lately? We used them a couple years ago and they were great. I'm hoping they still are.

We used them back in November and loved them. We did have a problem though, but it wasn't really their fault. When they brought the bus to pick us up, it got a flat tire and it took them about an hour to fix it. All the while, we stood in the blazing sun, kids and all. After that, all was fine though.

We used them LAST summer (2004) and they were great. We'd use them again anytime. One thing that was nice, was we weren't required to pay online when we booked. They just took our names and how many in our party and held space for us. Alot of places require you to pay online, which is scary in case for some unseen reason, the ship doesn't stop there. Then you are stuck paying for something you didn't do. I guess I should mention, I do not know if they still do it that way. They did when we used them though.

How mcuh did you pay through this company? Is it cheaper than Disney?

I can't remember exactly, but I believe we paid (back in 2004) our child was only like $25-30, and we as adults were like $45-50?? I think Disney has some quite a bit more, BUT I don't know. Hadn't checked prices in a while. We ALSO purchased a DVD from our day with them. I remember it being expensive, BUT for fun memories, who cares... It was one of those situations that would make you nervous because they say pay us now, we'll drop it off at your ship later, OR we'll mail it to you. I wasn't sure, but we did it anyways. It WAS dropped at our ship later before we left port. So, I was pleased with that. OH, also, I think they hope for tips. They mention the fact that they will accept them. We had such a great time, and they were so great as guides, we gave them a good sized tip. Besides, they charged less than most the other companies do.

I'm thinking about booking with Native Way. Did any of you do the excursion that goes to Stingray City followed by a visit to Rum Point?

Thanks!

Another vote for Nativeway. They were great! The van was almost full when we were leaving to go back to Georgetown so Sharon (the owner) took us in her SUV. She dropped 2 of us off at 7 mile beach and then had a little time until she had to get the next group so she asked us if we wanted to go to Hell. She drove us out there, we took a few photos and then it was back to town in time for her to organize the next bunch of snorkelers. The whole crew as excellent and we also received our video before the ship left port. I highly recommend them!
