I did my check in for our upcoming cruise about 11 days ago. The guest information still says Pending.

Anyone know how long it takes? I've gone in and there are no indications that the pictures did not comply with the requirements. I have green check marks on everything else.

Just wondering when I should start to worry and contact my travel agent.

TIA

Some have reported that they did not get "check in complete" until several days before the cruise. Also for peace of mind, anything that needs to be corrected can be handled at the Port. As long as you don't get an email all is good.

The critical one is Safe Passage and getting the "safe to arrive" message.

Ours was pending for about two weeks. I checked in the day it opened and “check in complete“ showed up the same day I could upload everything to Safe Passage (15 days out). We sail 2/25.

Yes. it's been taking quite some time. I think ours wasn't updated until 3/4 days prior to sailing.

Back in September, my photos weren't accepted until about 3 days before sailing. For my February cruise, they were accepted within 48 hours of uploading them, which was a few weeks before sailing. So... don't worry about it, I guess. They'll get to it. And if they never accept your photos, then you can still cruise. They'll just take new photos at the terminal after you go through testing and security.

I’m on the 2/26 cruise and our pictures/passports cleared a week ago. Took about 2 weeks after checkin. Safe passage cleared immediately because we were return cruisers.

Bumping up,

Has anyone else gone to the port with the "still pending" on the DCL site.

I did this original thread a week ago, so it's been 3+ weeks and I'm still pending.

We received our QR code for Boarding and everything else on the DCL site is completed.

There is nothing indicated that there's a problem with our pictures.

Good news is we received our Safe Passage QR code this morning.

Just nervous Nellie here.

It does seem to be quite common for that to clear about 1-3 days prior to sailing. If you search "pending" on this forum you'll find several similar reports. Just be sure to bring your documentation with you in case they need a new copy.

As I said before, don't worry about it. If your photo or travel documents aren't accepted, then they'll redo your check-in at the terminal. That will delay boarding by a few minutes, but it's really no big deal.

Where do you see the "still pending" (or anything else re: check-in) on the DCL website?
All I see in our reservation is "online check in status:" - - > continue check-in --> view required documents
But we already checked in and got an email from DCL saying check-in completed and nothing else.

Also, when do you get the QR code ?
We got emails from Safe Passage with clear to arrive link to login on their website but no QR code

TIA

Ours didn't clear until a couple days before the cruise. As stated, if there are issues, they'll just do it at check in and enter in your passport info and take your selfie themselves if needed. It would just take an extra couple minutes per person and not a big deal at all since you need your passports or other documentation to board anyways.

Thank you all for setting my mind at ease. I won’t worry about it and just make sure that we have our pass with us.

From what I have heard the docs are checked over by a live person and the cleared about 1 week or so before cruise (ours was not cleared until about 3 days before cruise). Don't worry...it does take awhile.

In case anyone searches for this information. Our experience was that it took 19 days for our "still Pending" to clear which was also 11 days before our cruise. This was done in February 2022.

Thanks for all the info everyone gave me to ease my anxious feelings.

Ours cleared 13 days before our cruise, which is March 7. Our safe passage cleared a day later, submitted 15 days before and cleared in 3 days

What is the photos that you speak of?

The "selfie" you up-load of each passenger when you do on-line check-in. It's the security photo that is attached to your reservation for when you embark and disembark at the ports. Pre-covid they were all taken at the Port by DCL.

I was not aware, thank you. Do you know how picky they are about the photo? Does it have to be like a passport photo?

No, it can be a selfie with your phone. But make sure you are up against a blank wall and that you take your glasses off. There are a bunch of You Tube videos that can help you.
