Still need your Fireworks pin?

Like The Wolf with his Duck Hunt idea for pirates, if anyone still needs to get their firework pin, but can't find anyone to beat them, then I am willing to come and help you.

You have to be able to score over 240,000, but I know when I get to that score, I have trouble finding someone online at the same time as me, who can beat me.

If anyone can help people to win their pin, or still need someone to beat them, add your name and we can set up times and (possibly) a buddy system.

I don't always hit 240,000, but I did get the pin (on three of my characters--gave the extras out as gifts). One thing I do is that as soon as I hit the 240,000 I stop clicking in hopes that someone else beats me.

First of all, welcome to the boards!

I too, languished in the 230k mark for weeks, playing on a laptop and main computer with wireless mice. We gave up in the end and bought a mouse that connected to the laptop, and hey presto, 250-260k!

I would say the first thing to learn is how long each firework takes before the flash. Blue, orange red and the final 2 are the quickest, so concentrate on those before others that come up.
In the early levels, do try to get flawless on as many as you can, I have found by waiting just after the star to click (flash - wait one beat - click), I can get flawless on pretty much the whole of the first two lands.
When 2 come up at once, or in the later levels, try not to worry too much about the flawless, this is when you need to just hit everything that moves!
The final trick is to memorise where the fireworks are on the bar, so that you know that the yellow is 2 after the red, or the pink is 2 before the green, so that you don't have to spend time whizzing round and round to find the right color.

I have found that to be on target for the 240k, I have to reach these minimums at each level:
1 - 26k
2 - 85k
3 - 134k
4 - 185k

When you do finally reach the magic number (it will just come one day, and then you will wonder how you ever managed to score lower!), let me know, and I will come and beat you, so that you can get your pin!

I do have a wireless mouse, but I also have a wireless keyboard. I wonder if I can get rid of one, but not the other.

I think my main problem (just making excuses now because it can't be me ) is my monitor. I've got it set to max brightness, but it's still pretty dark. There are many times when I hear the fireworks and I'm saying to myself "Where is it?", and I finally see it just as the star fades out. For most everything, the monitor is fine, but for that game...

That's good to know about the scoring. I was wondering where I should be. I can usually get to the levels you said for round 1 and 2, but I only get to about 125K in round 3, then 175K in round 4. Hmmm, doing the math, I think I'm OK in round 4...it's round 3 that's killing me.

Anyway, when I hit 240K, I'll find you.

i usaully try to remember the patterns, and go for the flawless, but not if it prevents me from getting other ones. i usually score around the 240,000 mark.
