Still here...leaving Saturday, few more comments.

WB Studio Tour was worth the money I felt. Especially if you have a teenage daughter who loves Gilmore Girls, Friends and Pretty Little Liars, she was gasping non stop. Teenage boys however, bored stupid except for seeing the set of Big Bang. My DH was thrilled to see the set of Lethal Weapon and they all enjoyed visiting the set of Ellen. Highly recommend visiting on a weekend if only to avoid traffic and more being recorded on the lot. My daughter on the friends couch though was the highlight I think. She’s watched the series a zillion times.

Monday and Tuesday at the parks were managed with max pass. It’s awesome. The being able to head back after a break with 4 fast passes was great! The place is definitely busier now that weather has improved but still not hard to get around.

Met Chewie and Vader, had a great time with both. Had short lines so had lots of time to interact.

Blue Bayou...not worth the $ in my opinion. The food was okay at best. Got a water side table without a wait though but felt rushed although we just took our time regardless. Still what restaurant worth that price point serves the main to a table when they are still eating their starter. I like to cook and this wasn’t anything better than I’d serve during the week really, maybe it was the lack of wine that threw me? Maybe I drink too much wine? Service was very friendly though which is great, and of course we only really went for the ambiance. I was surprised how many people walked up without a reservation though, even on a non busy day it appears required.

Kids had a blast playing games with Peter Pan and Captain Hook while we dined, said it was one of their favourite things ever.

Otherwise, very few ride closures other than what’s down for refurb, people are friendly, place is very clean and CMs are so pleasant!

We visited the beach today and did an hour long bike ride! Off to the Star Wars Void tonight before dinner in DTD!

Cheers everyone!

I’m sorry your BB experience wasn’t better. I haven’t been in about 18 mos. maybe they’ve gone downhill.

What did everyone eat?

We had the salmon. It was the only thing I thought would go with lemonade. It was fine and I get that it’s Disney $. I mean a churro anywhere else is 75 cents!

I booked the Void experience on our mid-week break day based on your enthusiasm! :)
I'm sorry to hear about your BB experience. I've got ressies for the F! pkg. I've never been to BB and figured it was a great way to do 'dinner and a show' for the same price as just dinner.

I agree about BB. My friends or family have dragged me there at least 10 times (at first I did the convincing everyone to go, then I actually ate there and it flipped my opinion) & every single time the food itself has been embarrassingly awful to just ok at best. You’ll find better food at most of the quick service restaurants & at all of the table service restaurants IMO. I don’t understand why ppl suggest BLue Bayou for nice, romantic or “foodie” meals when it’s none of those things. If you want actual quality food & service (& that glass of wine) hit up Carthay Circle, Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55 instead.

We ate at the Blue Bayou on Sunday afternoon as a Fantasmic dinner package. My only complaint was that the price was at the top of the menu and too easy to see. I would rather they had left it off, since I was buying.

We ordered our appetizers and took our time about ordering our entrees, a tip from the Unofficial Guide as well as from others here on the Disboards. So we enjoyed the date bread and two loaves of pull-apart bread and butter along with salads or gumbo. Our server did ask for our dessert selection when taking our entree orders. My husband asked to order later. Our entrees were delicious. I had the Surf and Turf and shared my sides with my husband and a son. The others had salmon or chicken. We were offered more bread with our entrees, but we did not need it. My husband did not care for the dessert offerings and asked if they had vanilla ice cream. He also asked if they had any Hershey's chocolate syrup. Shortly thereafter vanilla ice cream with artistically-drizzled chocolate syrup arrived. Everyone else enjoyed the offered desserts.

I could not have done Fantasmic without the cushion presented at Blue Bayou. I didn't take cushions with me on the plane, but I made room to bring them home. Our seats were right in the center and a great view, but the cement is hard for a senior lady to sit on.

We rode Pirates again the next day so we could see our waterside table.

We also ate at the Dennys and the Mimi's Cafe on Harbor Avenue before and after our park days. I can't complain about either of those. They were certainly quiet.

The Star Wars VOID is awesome! We got right in, excellent service! Spectacular experience, best thing to do on a non Disney day!!!

We enjoyed this also, although I had to keep pushing my helmet up with my finger in order to see properly.

We then had a great meal at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen.

I don’t think I have heard about this strategy. Is it just about getting bread offered or is there another reason to delay ordering the entree and dessert?

I think it’s to spread the courses out. Every table is on a timer (sometimes you can see them all running at the check-in area), so that leads to situations like the main course being brought out while appetizers are still being eaten...

We ate lunch at B.B. our last visit for lunch and had the Monte Cristo and Gumbo. Both were very good. Over priced but good! Our next trip coming up we are thinking about booking the Fantasmic package.

curious, which WB tour did you do? Been in LA all my life and never knew they had a tour. recently, had my out of town trip cancelled, thought id check WB out.

i see they have like a $60 tour and a $260 tour...

To not have our somewhat expensive to us, relaxing sit-down meal rushed, we ordered appetizers and waited to receive them before ordering entrees (and dessert). We were asked if we wanted bread. It may have come out before the appetizers. We all managed to mostly finish off the bread before the entrees arrived, so our server asked if we would like more with the meal. The bread was good, but we said no. We were not rushed at all, and drinks were kept filled. After everyone was finished with entrees and the table was cleared, the dessert appeared. Just as we finished the server came out with our WOC tickets, as well as the cushions in a plastic sack.

It's been years since I went to the Blue Bayou, probably about 8 years or so. The last time I went with my parents as we wanted to go for the ambience. Such an cool restaurant to eat at themed wise. The food though is what hasn't brought be back at all over the years. When I went I had a pork steak or something with veggies and it had a hair on it, and my parents food was cold like it had been left out for 45 minutes. We all sent our meals back and they replaced them and even when we got the new meals the food was just MEH!

This trip my boyfriend really wants to try out the BB for the Fantasmic dining package. Since it's been years for me and I loved the ambience and this is his very first trip to Disneyland I am going to give it another shot. From what I read I still wont be going in with high expectations on the food but I do know that the company and the show can't be beat :)

We did the $60 tour - we found it certainly sufficient and our kids would likely not have appreciated the fine dining lunch provided in the Deluxe tour.
