Still expected to tip on bad service?

Hi!

I have been reading about how service has been questionable lately, and I'm just wondering at Disney, are you still expected to tip 15%-18% on bad service?

In real life, if I had an inattentive server I wouldn't leave much, maybe a few dollars. However, since my dh and I were both servers/bartenders in our previous lives (before kids and family) we tend to tip on the obnoxiously high side.

So my question, not meant to turn into a debate or personal preferences on tipping, is if you have a bad server, do you feel obligated to leave a good tip because you are at Disney, or do you leave a tip according to service received?

I'm sure this will get closed. All tipping threads are as they tend to end in debates. My opinion is that you should tip according to what you think is right. If you tip a high percentage for great service and low percentage for crappy service, that's the right answer for you.

I just really wanted someone to tell me that it was OK not to leave a decent tip if we got bad service and the PP just did that. Thanks!

For poor service I personally tip 10%. For deplorable service, I speak to a manager. I treat WDW the same as any other eatery.
