Still confused on where to stay!

After seeing the new Disney Visa discounts, I'm very confused on where to stay! I'm assuming the Passholder rates will be similar (I really do hope they come out tomorrow!).

I see that the Polynesian GV is $239, and the Grand Floridian GV is $279. I'm sure I'd be fine at either resort, and the savings at the Polynesian over the GF is going to be $120+ for our 3 night stay. At this point, I'm really just considering the standard/garden view rooms.

Everytime I start thinking about the Polynesian, I then go to thinking about the GF! LOL

So, what should I do?

Oh just cash in the kid's college fund and do both...concierge, of course. :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

I believe AP rates are often a little better at some deluxe resorts. For example I see that someone got WL for $166 via the Visa deal, but usually the AP rate for WL is around $129. But you can always book it intially with the Visa rate and then try and have an AP rate (if better) applied to it when they come out.

The $166 rate was for a woodsview and the rate for $129 is usually a standard view rate. I don't know what the Disney Visa rate is for a standard view for this timeframe because they didn't have any available for our dates. But last year standard view AP rate was $124/night for June.

ROFL hyzdufan !!!

Yep, you only live once, why not? right?

Go for Poly gv. In my opinion, even though the GF is wonderful, it's not worth $120 more a night. IMO. ;)

the poly is so romatic... with the polynesian music playing and
torches lite up at night. The pool is really nice, too.

I love the poly and the grand floridian is very nice but in a more
fancy way.

IT is so beautiful in the lobby of the poly, you feel like you are on a tropical island.

I am a big fan of the GF too, but having stayed there and having visited the Poly, I felt that the Poly was the more welcoming and family themed of the two, and the pool is awesome. The GF is definetely the prettiest resort but the Poly seems more relaxing, not to mention having monorail to Epcot and MK:smooth: I have booked the Poly this time:smooth: another thing is that the Polynesian restuarants are also more in my price range than the GFs;)
