Still Confused - AP MBs

I'm still completely confused about my new AP and the MBs associated with it...

I've gotten different messages from different CMs too.

So here's the scenario.

I am going to WDW May 17-25 and booked the first night at POP, the rest off-site. The day after booking POP, I bought my AP for the first time. Was able to book FP+ at that point at 54 days out, but the Magic Bands only showed up for my resort stay not AP.

I called and some people say I should be able to customize, some say not until after the first stay.

I know all MBs work the same so the resort will work, but I'd like to have the AP bands as a surprise gift and not sure if I can get them. Any word?

You can not order the AP MagicBand(s) until you have received your actual AP(s) at WDW.

Once your AP is activated on your first day at the parks, you will be able to customize your AP MB. And, just for clarification, your AP will actually be associated with ALL of your MBs, once it's activated - you will be able to use the bands interchangeably.

Great. Thank you for the clarification. The message wasn't always clear and yesterday I actually received my vouchers in the mail. I entered the numbers into different places and it always said they were already linked so that was good.

Also, is there a separate website for passholders? The only one I keep coming up with looks like the more info about APs page. I can access the same stuff when I'm not even logged in.

Or does your access to that not open until the first day you use it too? I'm asking because I know the 24hr event t-shirt presale emails happened but I didn't get it nor do I see a place to order. Just wondering. Thanks!

Honestly, I don't remember if my access to the APholder website info opened for me before I activated the AP or after. Sorry!!!
