I know several others have been more successful, but I can't seem to get anything to work and I would very much appreciate any/all help!

I'm an EA member of National and an Entertainment member. I've tried and tried the $40 off code with both the EA and Entertainment corp. id numbers and can't get an intermediate for less than $224, inc. taxes and fees. I currently have a reservation at Dollar for $189, inc. taxes and fees, but that's still more than we've ever paid before for the same time period.

Our dates are May 13 (pick up at 1pm) with drop-off on May 21st (at 7pm).

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a reservation for a Compact car from Dollar from May 12th to 20th for $162 taxes in (using KISS2). I thought that prices would go down as we got closer to the actual date, but the reverse seems to be true. I made that reservation months ago, but I just checked again and with the KISS2 code, for the same time and same type of vehicle, I get a quote of approx. $217 taxes in.

I can't give you any historical info, since this is our first time renting a car in Orlando since 1988. Yes. 1988.

Good Luck

Mike in the Maritimes.

Did you try the codes from mousesavers? Thy have a whole portion that gives rental car discount codes. You might not get one for national or dollar, but if you try all the companies ther you might get one that works for you.

Your reservation is for 9 rental days. I don't think the rate is that bad. I just put in your dates and got $224.09 for an intermediate. I also put in for a suv and got $214.00 which is good for 9 days.

We are having the same issue. We have a mini van booked April 28 to May 12 for $375 but we also need to add a driver so it will be more like $518 or so depending on the fees.

We normally book compact cars but we need a mini van this time. I was hoping to use the Alamo Walmart code to get the free additional driver but Dollar with promo code kiss2 is still the best deal (when we booked it a week or so ago - it has since increased). Such a bummer!

You might want to try the Thrifty magic card promotion. It includes an additional driver. You can get the code at the official orlando visitors website.

I only need 1 driver...last year, we had $141 inc. taxes & fees for 9 days with National and I was hoping to find a rate closer to that, but maybe it's not going to happen this year.

Thanks again, though!

Got a great deal for you!!! I was just going to start a thread for this..

Alamo just reduced rate for midsize suv and you can use the $40 coupon for suv, minivan. my rates last week for this was $186, today it was $140.
(7 days)

Try Alamo's site, use
Id code: 430710
Coupon: ad2051mmd

You may not need to bring the coupon with you because it says its an e-coupon, but if you do you can get it on mousesavers site.

*reduced midsize suvs + Alamo has an e coupon out for $40 off a minivan or SUV valid until May 20. Not sure if you have to print it since its an e coupon, but if you do mousesavers has it on its site.

BUT!!!!! right now they reduced the midsize suv's to the least expensive vehicle:banana: ..less $ than an ecomony (clown size) and compact :thumbsup2
Plus it includes an additional driver :drive:

I used:

id code: Walmart 430710
coupon code: ad2051mmd

Just rented midsize suv 7 days, $140 including taxes & fees.

Okay, I got it down to $189 (inc. taxes and fees), but that's exactly what I've got right now with Dollar.

Thanks very much, though! I keep checking this thread, hoping one day, one of these code combinations will strike the target range of $141!

yes I did. The coupon expires on the 20th and my dates are the 18th-23rd

justplaingoofy - thanks so much for this. I just went from $264 at dollar to $185 at Alamo!:thumbsup2

WHOOOO-HOOOO

Does anyone know of any coupons for May 24-28? We are flying to Dallas for SIL's graduation. There are 6 of us so we will need a full-size SUV.
