Stereotypes.

It doesn't matter what people like that say because the people who matter and care about you will always know you're beautiful.
True, I just hate the way I get sterotyped just because I'm the type of person who would wear a t-shirt and jeans all the time. Or how I get all these dirty looks from people all the time.

Stereotypes in my area usually stay in the 'nerd, 'loser', 'emo', 'wannabe gangster', 'drug dealer', 'slut' categories.
Popular, or popular jocks don't really play into it. There are people you would want to label popular, but they're just a group of friends that happen to be better looking.

shelby-
swot = nerd - someone whos obssesed with school and is really clever
chav = kinda someone who hangs round shop corners, wears sports clothes eg fred perrys, is always geting in trouble
yob = kinda a thug

ye that's it basically.
Sorry i really need to watch my british slang. xD.

thanks translators.

i need to brush up on my foreign slang. =p

I've always been sterotyped. I'm just an easy target for it. But I just kind of laugh. And I agree. I'm usually: loser, band geek, drama nerd, freak, weirdo...anything along that line.

And yes, I tend to use sterotypes. I get to know a person before I take a sterotype too seriously, but quite a few people that I have classes with are sterotypical football players, cheerleaders, preps... I know foot ball players and cheerleaders that are really nice, and I don't hold what they do against them. But those loud, obnoxious, better-than-you-because-you-blow-through-******-while-I-wrestle-with-other-guys (no offense to football players on here) people get on my nerves.

I think putting on Jeans and Tshirt is dressing up! I much prefer my sweats or PJ's. :p

Ack, yeah I suppose I got stereotyped in High School.

I was a drama nerd for sure, but i'm totally proud of that. But I think that sort of stereotyped me as an uppity beee...and someone who thought she was better than others. Which is quite the opposite.

Once I won Prom Queen I was quickly stereotyped as a materialistic popular girl who (once again) thinks she's better than everyone. Which I never really was, but since that's the 'prom queen stereotype' that's what I became in people's eyes. Which is, once again, quite the opposite, as it took me by COMPLETE surprise and I was VERY flattered and grateful. And I still am!

I was also very friendly with alot of teachers, which made me a teachers pet-ish type. When really, I just enjoyed conversing with certain teachers. I still correspond with a couple of them via email, so I'm NOT a teachers pet, because they're not my teachers anymore! hehe

I'm sure I've been stereotpyed as many other things.

TO be honest, I don't really mind it though, I don't let it become offensive to me. I'm sure I've stereotyped & pre-judged people alot in my life. I know I always assume the worst of thug-looking people and I am quickly irritated by bratty looking teenage girls...so I suppose I am stereotyping.

It's sort of unavoidable though I think. Try as I might to give everyone a fair chance, it's tough to not let the little voice in your head make a quick judgement.

I was one of the popular girls at one point in my life. I hate that we label people. We should just get to know them, before making an assumption.

Yeah.
I'd say I'm stereotyped.

Emo. (Which I'm not. Emo is a type of music. Not a type of person.)
Drama Geek.
Over dramatic writer.
The list goes on and on.

i never really fit in at school untill this year. i now hang out with the "weird" people (we call ourselves that too). but they are so much nicer than most the other kids. i don't care what other people think about me anymore.
