Is there a discrepancy in what your home scale reads and what your Dr.'s scale reads? :scared1:

If so, how many pounds do they differ?

Mine is usually 2-3 lb difference which I figure is the shoes, socks and clothes since I weigh myself at home in the morning before getting dressed

I go to the doctor often. I have a doctor's scale at home. I guess there is a difference with how they're zero'd. My doctors office has me 4 pounds heavier all the time. I have told him this for years.

yes, mine is a 3lb difference.

Mine too! I recently lost 10 pds (atleast according to my scale at home I did :rotfl:) and I was depressed when I saw that number!

I think I'll just forget I ever saw that number and tell myself that happens to everyone at the Dr's office. ;)

I sure hope so. I went to the doctor's on Tuesday and it said 196. Today atthe gym and at home it said over 200!! I am so upset. This is the heaviest I've ever been. AND I work out 5 days a week at the gym. Soooo upsetting.

My dr is always like 3-4 pounds heavier :headache:

I use one of those scales that does weight, water and body fat so I stick to that number No matter what!

I'm always heavier at the dr's office, like 3-5 lbs heavier.

I don't weigh myself. It's easier to just go by what I see in the mirror and how my clothes are fitting. If I have to go to the doctor, I am not usually surprised by what they tell me regarding weight because I already kind of know based on my observations.

When I used to weigh myself at home frequently, it used to stress me out.

I weigh every time I see my oncologist (often) and the scale there is always 3 pounds heavier than my scale at home.

I've really been wondering! It never seems to be quite right. So which is right? I'll go with the lower number, thank you very much! :rotfl:

The scale in my PCP office is 2 pounds less than mine at home. I like my doctor!!!!!

I use one of those scales that does weight, water and body fat

I need to purchase a scale like yours. I need to know my true weight as well as my body's fat and water content.

I weighed myself yesterday morning, wearing just a nightie. I went to a specialist today, wearing lightweight pants, t-shirt and sneakers: their scale had me 15 pounds heavier than my scale. :scared1:

Mine is pretty on par with the doctor's. If you have any hand weights, try putting them on your home scale to see if it differs from what the weights are.

2 lbs. heavier - which for me is a good thing.. I want to steal their scale.. LOL..:goodvibes
