Step stools at Boardwalk Villas?

Hi, we'll be going to Boardwalk Villas for the first time in May. I had a question about whether there are step stools or benches (sometimes used for vanities) in the bathrooms. I have a DS8, DD6 and a DD3. The two girls use a step stool in order to brush their teeth by themselves. Otherwise I have to hoist them up every time they want to spit into the sink. I think for this vacation it might be worth it for me to invest in a small fold-flat step stool that I can pack in my suitcase, just to save the hassle of it all week. But I don't want to use up that space if there is something available for them to stand on already. I thought that since this is Disney, they might have some kind of accommodations available for the smaller set.

Just wondering if any of you would know.

Thanks!

I have never seen any kind of step stool in our rooms.

However, there may be other options - you could stack the phone books, or if you have a firmer type of suitcase, you could use one of those, bring over a chair from the table, etc. Just trying to save you those very important ounces in your luggage!

Hi,

I've never seen them in the rooms either. I bring a collapsible stool with me for my elderly Mom. The beds are too high for her :).

I think we picked it up at Walmart one trip because we discovered she couldn't get into bed without help. This was around 11:00 pm. She could not stop giggling - too funny.

Anyway, it does fold flat, sits on bottom of luggage and was around $15. We take it every trip now.

Have a great time.

This is one of those items that would be great to keep in an Owner's Locker! :)

In the past, we have pulled a chair from the living room or desk area to the kids bathroom. When we aren't using it, we just push it to the side. No biggie. I do like the idea of a stool but our folding stool would just add more weight to our bag. I am starting to think OL might be the way to go!

asked DVC to provide them for BLT - so far they are NOT in the models - so hoping the real thing will have them.

the sink area in the kitchennett/bathroom (but not really) is just too small to kept a chair in the area.

or this might be one of those things you need to ask housekeeping for - and see if they find something.

would do that first - if they say no - then go to Walmart.

BLT really needs the step stools because it is so darn narrow.

Thanks for all your replies. I think I'll go ahead and get it. I figure it will still be a good investment for the next 4 years or so until my youngest is tall enough. And I now know that I can use it again in my senior years to get up on a bed! LOL!

The one I was thinking of getting is called the E-Z Foldz, which looks like it could fit pretty easily in a suitcase.

Thanks again!

We keep the foldable type in our Owner's Locker just for our independent 2 & 5 year olds!!! Oh what would I do without OL????
