To be honest, I don't know much about it.
From what I just read on wikipedia, I'm against it.
Destroying a human embryo and cloning it is something I'm against.

If stem cell research is completely different, please correct me so I can re-think my thoughts.

If someone gets and abortion, the aborted thing has a stem cell, right? Well they either throw the stem cell away or use it to find cures to stuff... I say put it to use.

i'm no embryonic surgeon, but i believe that stem cells must be removed before the embryo dies, so they couldn't be taken from an aborted fetus.

I think stem cell research is a good thing.
Say somone has a muscular disease that causes their muscles to deteriorate. Wouldn't it be wonderful, if throught stem cell research, scientists were able to find a way to 'regrow' or replace to muscles?

If the embryos are going to be thrown out, I'm for it. They will die either way.

If they create embryos just for this purpose I'm not really for it.

While I don't believe in the harvesting of embryos, as in, becoming pregnant specifically for giving your embryo. (just because, well that grosses me out) But, if the embryos are just being wasted, after they're gone, then I fully agree with stem cell research.
Imagine the possibilities of it! You never know what medical marvel might come from the right research.
And there were a lot of ads that made me sick during the voting season. Lies, lies, and more lies. It made me shake my head because they pretended it was about money, when it was obvious it was a religious stance. I'm Catholic, I understand where they come from because I'm surrounded in it; but lying is unacceptable. Don't hide behind reasons; just state your real opinion!
