Steer clear of Planet Hollywood in DS

Went there with my family last time. The food came out SO quick but it wasn't very good. The waiter was nice so I tipped him the full 20% and it isnt his fault the food was crap, but it was. Never again. It is a fun environment though!

For our 1998 trip, we went to PH. Even back then, we said, "Never again."

It is tied with a meal I had at Kona's for worst meal on property.
We got married in 1995 and honeymooned at Disney. For some reason we had a voucher for two free meals at PH. Even with the free meals, we haven’t been back since, and that includes living in Orlando for almost five years.

I'd rather eat a kid's 'uncrustables than eat something out of PH. 🤢 Ate at the DS PH location on my senior class trip in 1995 and again newlyweds in 2003--disgusting both times and was permanently crossed off our list. Have never heard of their food improving over the many decades since I've been. Definitely no plans to ever revisit. Same with Rainforest!

I ate there in 1998 and said “never again.” When my husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at Disney in 2015, he walked by, shook his head and said “never again,” and he had never even heard about my 1998 visit.

It turned out he had been there maybe 3-4 years prior and quickly found out why it was the only place with walk-up (ish) availability. Something to be said for consistency I guess.

Next time go to Splitsville. Great food and service as well as bowling if you like.
Never been to the Splitsville at DS but loved the Splitsville at the Downtown Disney at DLR--really good Impossible burger (but not quite as good as the Edison's)!

We went once in the early 2000’s, back when Disney gave out coupon booklets with your package. I think we received $10 off a meal, plus a “free gift” which was an incredibly cheap keychain. The food then wasn’t good. I’ve always been amazed that it has remained in business

I’m sure most of the food is prepackaged and just reheated. A lot like most chain restaurants.

We went to Rainforest the last time and the food was good for what it was. We knew going in that the food was just like PH and similar to an Applebees. We just kind of enjoy the inside of the restaurant once in a while.

I cannot figure out how on earth Planet Hollywood survives and how they manage to stay in business. But on my first Walt Disney World trip my family went there with my cousin and aunt in 1997 and we decided to have drinks and my mom and dad and cousin and aunt had sodas and I had a Shirley Temple to drink in there and from what I saw of Planet Hollywood it reminded me of Denny's with a Hollywood theme and looked kind of strange. Another thing I couldn't figure out about Planet Hollywood is that at certain times the lights would dim but nothing happened and I wondered why they did this? A second thing I noticed about Planet Hollywood is that you're supposed to see a celebrity meet and greet outside but we NEVER saw a celebrity meet and greet with any celebrity. Why I think Planet Hollywood was created was so they could compete with Hard Rock Cafe and so people could say "oh yes i've eaten at Planet Hollywood" because I can imagine with Hard Rock Cafe it's the same similar reaction as Planet Hollywood but I mainly think if you are a huge movie and TV fan Planet Hollywood is your kind of place
