With the way the Pirates play, it's over by June.........

So happy Charlie Batch had a great game! He finally had a chance to prove himself and did great! He deserves the #1 backup position when Ben comes back.

Back in the early 90s when the Pens were making the Stanley Cup, I remember a cartoon titled "A Hockey Night in Pittsburgh" and it showed empty stands at Pirates game in Three Rivers.

I"m a Bears fan, so I don't really care whether or not Pittsburgh wins. However, I do root for Rashard Mendenhall, as he is from the University of Illinois. Steelers are off to a good start.

In Pittsburgh, baseball ends with the start of the Steelers season.

There is on baseball season here and the start of Steeler season only means I have to endure all the football crap for a few weeks before the home opener in the new arena.

16 games is just the beginning of a season for a real sport.
