I have a question about steam mops. Actually, a couple of questions. My MIL has tile floors that are textured and a bit on the rough side. She's interested in the steam mops, but is afraid it will chew up the mop head. She's unable to use regular mops b/c the tile destroys the mop and leaves little pieces everywhere. Does anyone have any experience with tile like this? How did the steam mop do?
My other question is regarding the carpet glider that comes with certain models. Does it just 'refresh' the carpet, or does it actually clean the carpet? I've got a Bissell carpet cleaner that is a real beast to handle and of course the carpet is left fairly damp when I'm done. But if the steam mop cleans the miscellaneous spots and traffic kind of dirt, I would be very happy.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
