Steam Mop at Big Lots

Well I am unimpressed.

I just tried it on my kitchen floor. It was very difficult to push across the floor. And while it cleaned the surface, I have textured vinyl and I want something that will clean into the "grooves" . This didn't do diddly to any of that dirt. I thought that was the point of the steam, to get into that sort of space and get that dirt out. It didn't get my floor any cleaner than my Swiffer mop did yesterday.

Am I doing something wrong, or just expecting too much?

I was somewhat disappointed also. I only had time to do a little section as we were packing and have been out of town. Still looks dirty. I did read where someone had to do there's 5 x's to get all of the "gunk" from other cleaners up, so I'm going to give it a whole hearted try tomorrow when I'm off of work. I'll let you know if this works then!!! Wish we had better results with all of the people who said they "loved it"!!! I'd hate to think I spent $40.00 on another product that will sit in my laundry room.

Try holding it in one spot for a little while and maybe give it a little more steam. I find that going over the same area slowly several times works really good.

I have one and you have to pump the handle several times to get the pad moist. If you you hit a sticky spot on the floor pump it a few times again and it should work.
