Steakhouse 71 or Yachtsman?

Hi! We are taking our kids to WDW over Spring Break and are planning one date night while we’re there. We are staying at Boardwalk and haven’t been able to get a reservation for Flying Fish, so we are between dinner at Steakhouse 71 or Yachtsman. We’d like to grab some drinks post dinner, so we were thinking a monorail bar crawl if we did Steakhouse 71 or doing Abracadabar if we ate at Yachtsman.

We’ve never been to either restaurant or to Trader Sam’s or Abracadabar. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you!

We've eaten at both once. We much preferred Steakhouse 71. We didn't have a great experience at Yachtsman. Our steaks were way over cooked and we sent them back and the new ones came out just as charred.

We have eaten at Yachtmans and did not have a great dinner. Service was good, food was not for the price. Have had drinks at Abracadabar, it was pretty cozy, sitting at the bar. Just a thought, Trattoria Al Forno, next door, it was pretty good, and good variety. Service was good. Better than most Disney restaurants. I have heard good reviews on Steakhouse 71, but I did like the ambiance, food and service at Trattoria

Shula's Steakhouse is much better than either Yachtsman or Steakhouse 71 and Shula's doesn't charge for bread either. We are DVC members , so I took our leftovers from Shula's and a few days later heated them up in a microwave and they still were amazing.

Shula‘s, definitely.
Not sure if you have a sitter. When we went there we used the childcare service in the swan/dolphin and we also got $ off childcare with our restaurant receipt. This was a few years ago, so I don’t know if the service still exists.

We had terrible steaks at Yachtsman several years ago. Steakhouse 71 is one of our favorite restaurants. The filet there is awesome! With that said, Shula's is our favorite steakhouse on Disney property. If you want a special night, I would go with Shula's, but if you are looking for really good food at a great value, then you can't go wrong with SH71.

Have never eaten at Yachtsman. Had a very enjoyable dinner at Steakhouse 71 on our recent trip in November

Never been to Shula's... but, we did Yachtsman in January and it was just okay. Great service- but for the price I kind of expected more.
Steakhouse 71 on the other hand... the flight of steak dipping sauces alone is worth it. And our server Geir was amazing!
That being said, Flying Fish and Topolino's Terrace are my favorite restaurants on property- but that is probably because I prefer seafood.

We had good experiences at both Yachtsman and Steakhouse 71, but this time we are trying Shula's.

Its been quite a while since we've eaten at YSH. Just tried Steakhouse 71 tonight and it was enjoyable but not all that great. Good service, interesting menu, but food was just OK.
