Would an 8am breakfast get us out and over to DCA in time for rope drop at 9? Obviously I know it wouldn't be enough time to get there 30-45 min early but I just care about getting in roughly around opening.

I usually take about 90 mins at Steakhouse. I would hate to rush, we enjoy it there. They open at 7am, perhaps go a little earlier? 30 mins for a sit down restaurant for breakfast is really rushing them. Or consider getting something from La Brea bakery or the coffee shop at the DLH instead of the sit down breakfast.

Aloha,

No. Most definitely not.

Steakhouse 55 features a magnificent breakfast. The best at DLP. However, it is NOT a fast serve counter service restaurant. It is a table service restaurant which takes their time to provide a quality meal. My family enjoys Steakhouse 55 for breakfast on days we are NOT going to the parks. Everything is outstanding.

For DCA RD at 9 AM, recommend to be at the gate by 8:30 AM. Depending upon where you are staying, have an early breakfast. If you are staying at DLH, the coffee shop opens at 6 AM. Also, the pair of Starbucks at Downtown Disney are open early and feature breakfast items to go. You can eat in line if you desire. Lastly, some of the various food carts (Churros, etc...) open as early as 9:30 AM at DCA. As well as Schmozies (msp?).

If at all possible, use EMH.

Good luck!

Thank you so much. I'm fine with missing rope drop and arriving at 9:30-10 if the breakfast is as good as everyone says it is. Since we do not have any "off" days, I figured it would be best to do this breakfast on a day that we are going to DCA without EMH for resort guests.

I typically do breakfast at SH55 the morning of the day I fly home. They open at 7, and if you go at that time instead of 8 you'll practically have the place to yourself. Goofy's Kitchen next door will be busy, however.

Just don't make the mistake I made the first time I had a reservation there, wandering around the Grand Californian looking for the restaurant before realizing you're in the wrong hotel.
