Hey Disney friends. I'm a meat and potato guy and I just wanted to get your opinion on your top three places to eat a steak dinner on property? Thanks!

1). Shula's
2). Shula's
3). Shula's

There a several places with "good" steak... DH has always been happy with the one at California Grill... but if you want "really good/great", Shula's is the best on property.

Flying Fish only makes 1 steak, but it's one of the best steaks we've ever had.

I had steak, in some form, at the following places a few weeks ago...
Yachtsman....good, but not outstanding
Artist Point....incredible filet, simply incredible
Coral Reef......good
Flying Fish......very good
LeCellier........had the filet at lunch, I was incredibly surprised at how wonderful it was....just about as good as Artist Point.
Brown Derby....way undercooked, then they overcooked it.

I would rank them this way...
Artist Point
LeCellier
Yachtsman

I have yet to try Shula's....but do know that we have friends who refuse to eat steak anywhere else on site!!!

1) Shulas. absolutely devine
2) Yachtsman steakhouse. not as good as Shulas but good.
3) Chefs de France. Excellent tenderloin but it comes in a peppercorn sauce. I wanted to have the chefs kid after tasting it but I know many don't like sauces with their steaks.

I have personally never had any near a great steak at Le Cellier. they were edible but no better than what I cook at home so after 3 trys I crossed this off my list. I have not been there since it switched over to a signature restaurant so it may have gotten better.

Shulas first. Yachtsman second.
Can't really come up with a solid third though---

Shades of Green one and only resturant has steak without the high prices of Disney. FYI, SOG was disneys first hotel.

No, it was the third. Disney's Golf Resort (the original incarnation of SOG) opened after the CR and Poly. Although it was the first place I ever stayed at WDW, so that should be an important historical footnote.

As to the steak, IMO it depends greatly on what kind of steak you prefer. There are a number of places that do a fine job with a filet, but if you like something meatier--like a NY strip or a porterhouse--your options are much more limited. I haven't been to Shula's, but by reputation I would suggest them for the best non-filet steaks.

Best filets at Disney include Le Cellier, Jiko, Artist Point and a few others. (I always order the NY strip at LC only to remember once I get it that it's not very good.)

I agree. Anyone who titles their post "Steak! Steak!Steak!" is likely to be underwhelmed anywhere except Shula's.

I can vouch for Le Cellier's filet plus the added kicker of dipping endless pretzel bread into the cheddar beer soup.

There's Shula's, and then there's everywhere else. No other restaurant on Disney property comes close. Well, that might not be entirely true. The Bear and Bull at the Waldorf I'm sure has a great steak, but it's nowhere near as easy to get to as Shula's. That would be taxi territory. It is still on property, though, technically.

Of the rest, Yachtsman is probably the next best place to grab a hunk of beef. After that, there's a pretty sharp decline.

Our choices:
  1. Yachtsman
  2. Jiko
  3. Artist Point

Note that we have not yet done Shula's so we can't rate it.

Another person who loves Shula's here! Actually going to be eating there two weeks from tonight :cloud9:

Yachtsman would be my personal number two

I can't really think of a third place, I dont think Ive had any other steaks on property that wowed me.
