Steak in DTD?

DH will be staying at POFQ for 2 nights by himself while attending a conference in Orlando, before I join him for a long weekend. He plans on taking the boat to DTD for dinner both nights, and would love to get a good steak. He is a filet man, and is rather picky when it comes to beef! Any suggestions?

My personal favorite is the NY Strip Steak from Planet Hollywood. My second favorite is the full rack of tender hickory-smoked St.Louis style ribs. I can't wait until I'm back there again.

Filet is tender but not very flavourfull.

I personally am a filet girl myself. Don't know of any good filets at Downtown Disney. Now... I HAVE had a filet at the Rainforest Cafe in Chicago, I do believe it is on the menu at DTD. It was really pretty good! My favorite filet on Disney property is at Les Chefs de France at EPCOT.

There is a filet of beef Oscar at Fulton's Crab House that consistently gets good reviews. Also, he might consider taking the boat to the Turf Club at SSR. DTD isn't the place for high end steak. For that you'll need to go to Shula's or Yachtsman Steakhouse.

a couple of places that serve filets, Wolfgang Puck Dining Room and Portobellos. I can't give you a review of either.

Just about the only beef place I can recommend is House of Blues prime rib. It's not my normal menu item but It was tasty the one time I had it. (Baotwrights also has a decent prime rib.)

It's not quite DTD, but the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs is supposed to have a really good steak from what I've read. I'm not sure if the POFG boat stops at SSR or not. If not, he can walk to SSR from DTD.

Agree with Uncleromulus above. You would much better off with seafood at Fultons. If that is not your preference I would not spend the money on high end at DTD.

If you really want a good steak Shula's is the best option.

It is one of the best steaks in Florida let alone Disney.

It is at the Dolphin though, so not as easy to get to as DTD.
