I am a steak lover, here in the World now. Just wanted to mention you can get steak on the DDP still at least at Kona, Boatwright's and Maya Grill. Did Maya last night- Mixed Grill- they swapped the Catch of the Day (Mahi) for salmon at my request. 3 very meaty yummy ribs, a nice hunk of fish and a decent piece of filet, plus potato and veg, was definitely plenty to share. There was a guitar player there later in the evening and desserts are awesome- omg fried cheesecake!

So don't give up hope for steak yet!

Is it hard to get steak on the DPP? I am deffinately not in the know but I had not heard this before. I am so looking forward to steak! Tell me it isn't true! :sad1:

I've never had a problem getting steak on the DDP. You just need to go to the restaurants that serve steak. Le Cellier certainly comes to mind.

Thanks so much for the MG report! The internet menus are so outdated and reviews hardly ever get posted, so it's good to know the steak and in particular the mixed grill are still there. Hopefully the menu-trimmers won't hit that place any time soon - I'll be there in 4 weeks.

Ahh. I see I didn't read the thread's title too well. OP wanted steaks at resorts, not parks. :)

Anyway, you can also get steaks at WL (either at WCC or at Artiste Point) and at Yachtsman's Steakhouse at Yacht Club.

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is a really nice place to go. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice.

Thanks for the info.

It is nice to be with like minded people who like steak. :flower3:

Boy was I getting hammered on another thread by a bunch of vegetarians. I was getting scared and didn't know for sure what the world was coming to. :scared1: :lmao:

The people on that other thread are not, to the best of my knowledge, vegetarians, but are merely pointing out that ONE, non-Disney-owned restaurant removing steak from its menu (while leaving steak on its more expensive counterpart upstairs) is not the devastating tragedy others on that thread seem to think it is. Going a little off-topic - two firefighters were killed up here on the job last night. THAT'S a tragedy. One restaurant changing its menus is, well, one restaurant changing its menu.

Vegetarian here from 'that' thread. I dispute the hammering claim.

The issue on 'that' thread was not that you eat meat, but your seeming anger towards US here on this website that menus change. You also seem to be quite upset that a restaurant started by a famous Austrian chef is not serving food 'American' enough for your taste.

I agree with Kaytie - a menu change by a restaurant is pretty small in the overall scheme of the world. As the OP has shown, steak is still readily available at a number of restaurants at WDW.
