Steak at Mama Melrose's

We're considering the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's. Has anyone had their Charred steak? How was it?

I dont know if it was charred - I think it was a filet I had on polenta and it was AWESOME!!!- my husband can't wait to go back to get it himself- Enjoy!

I hate to sound stupid but what is polenta? I do believe the menu on allears.net said something about steak and polenta.

Best way I can think to describe it as kinda like grits. Only smoother and a finer texture.

My son got it and he loved it. FYI, you can sub something for the polenta. My son got fettucini alfredo with his steak instead of the polenta.

My husband and son both had it last Sept. and really enjoyed it. They like it much better than the steak they had at GFC the night before.

I had one back in December...actually I almost had four of them (the waiter got a bit confused when he placed the order and a parade of waiters arrived at our table with four just for me!!!). It was good - by the time I got to the second one it started to get a bit spicy for me. (FYI for anyone with little ones - for a child's meal at MM, the chicken strips were NOT a good choice - too spicy!)

DH and my dad had it this week-- they LOVED it-- I wish I had ordered it. I went with the the Chicken Parm, and it was ok, but not great like the steak! --Katie

Do you know if you can get a steak with nothing on it? My brother is very particular about his food. Everything needs to be plain!
