staying port Orleans riverside vs Buena vista

My daughter is dancing at Walt Disney over July 4 I can't make up my mind with the best place to stay have reservations at port of Orleans riverside and Buena vista suites we dont qualify for a meal plan since it's a group rate my hubby says I should go for the cheaper hotel but I'm not sure we do have to meet at port Orleans three times the week we are there at specific times for her commitments plus we have to be at downtown Disney one afternoon at a specific time I've never been to Disney so any advice anyone could give pros and cons with eitherbplace would be great

I think it's easier to say on site. It may be less expensive to stay at Buena Vista suites, but you will need to rent a car and then battle International Drive. If you stay at Port Orleans you can use Magical Express and the buses! There is also a boat that takes to you Downtown Disney.

The rooms at Port Orleans have a refrigerator, so just bring some cereal and buy milk for breakfast.
