Staying past checkout on site

Do you know (if pre-arranged with the office) if they will allow you stay past check-out on your site? Can you pay an additional amount for this added time? I know we can move our camper to the overflow lot, but would be good if could leave on the site. Just wondering.

We were told it all depended on whether the site was reserved for that night.
