Staying over two seasons

What happens if your stay goes over two different DVC "seasons"? Do you use more points for the part of your vacation in the higher season or is it dependent on check in day?

Points are different for different seasons, no matter when you check-in.

This happened to us with our first DVC stay in Dec. The first 2 nights were in one season and the rest of our stay was in another. The individual nights points were charged according to the season.

You pay per night so you pay the points applicable to the season each night of your stay occurs. Disney does it this way too now but until recently, they would charge you the season for the first night of your stay and keep the same rate throughout, they no longer do it this way.
