So we are thinking of leaving Disney for a couple of days to go tour Universal. It sounds like staying on property for one night to get the express pass is the way to go (we'll be going the week of Thanksgiving). So if we leave WDW early on a Monday morning and plan to tour all that day and stay onsite that one night, then tour again all the next day in the other park, then head back to WDW to stay Tuesday night there, would we be able to get the onsite resort express pass perk for both days, or just one day since we're only staying one night??

TIA!

Yes, you get two full days of unlimited express for one night onsite.

Just check in as early as you want that Monday. If no room is available they will still give you your keys and have you take pictures and get your express passes. They are good all that day and the next day.....even after your check out time.

Directly from the Loews hotels site, under any of the 3 hotels, going to Hotel Overview and then to FAQs:

Q: What days is the FREE Universal ExpressSM Unlimited pass that serve as Express Access to skip the regular lines valid throughout my stay?

A: Your Universal ExpressSM Unlimited pass is valid for Express Access (at participating attractions) from the time issued by the front desk until the Universal Orlando theme parks close, the day of your departure.

Yes, you get two full days of unlimited express for one night onsite.

Wow, really? Didn't realize that. Hmmm.... another checkmark into the Plus side for "stay offsite or split between offsite and resort". :thumbsup2

Just one word of warning, once you stay onsite you will never be the same touring parks. :thumbsup2
