Staying on-site parking fee

Hi,

We are staying one night near the end of Aug, at the HR. I know we can arrive early, get our FOLP, and get early entry into the park on check in day. What I didn't ask was if parking is free to those staying on site. Do any of you know?

Unfortunately $15 a day.

Oh! and thats self parking. Valet is only a few dollars more. We never go to our car so we don't need it. But if you plan on leaving once a day or so I would recommend it. Esp in this summer heat!

parking at the onsite hotels is more than parking at the parking garage. We went to visit and we paid $23 dollars to park for the few hours we were there.

I think if you are staying there is is a few dollars cheaper.

Visitor parking is more expensive because they are so tight for room for hotel guests.

I could very well be wrong about the visitor parking (as I have only heard around never done it) but I know for sure that hotel guest parking was $15 a day when we were there in September. Or night, I suppose.

$15 self parking

Per night

Day guests:

$20 self parking
$30 valet parking

Per day, I believe no overnight parking.

We have a one night reservation. We will check out but go to Rock the Universe which ends at 1. The reservationist said we could leave the car at the resort lot until park closing. I thought I read on here that after midnight we would pay another $15. Anyone know which is correct?

If you are staying one night then you have 2 days of parking. The day you arrive and the day you checkout, just like your unlimited express pass.

You would have to clairify the after midnight thing with the front desk. You have to use your hotel key to exit the parking lot. So I can imagine that they know who comes and goes. It might be programed that after midnight your card will no longer work. The best thing is to ask.

From our December RPR stay where we clarified it verbally and the reality went along with the explanation...

Your one day stay will have ONE parking charge. $15 plus tax. You will be able to then park, on that one charge, the day you check in (and through the night of course), and YES the whole day until midnight of the day you check out. If you're still there at midnight, they'll charge another $15 plus tax.



OP, I wasn't sure if you were talking park or hotel parking. If you have a car on site, you'll pay the hotel parking fee ($15 charged at midnight for each midnight of your stay...not sure if that confuses or clarifies, but it works for me). You do NOT get to park at the parks for free even if you're onsite. You'll still need to pay to park at the parks.

But that doesn't matter. Leave your car at the hotel lot, and walk or boat (or take a pedicab) to the parks. No reason to pay to park at the parks' parking lots (too many "park" words!) when you've got the nice hotel parking lot for your car to sit in.

if you moved your car from the hotel parking lot before midnight to the garage, the garage cost would be $3.00


after 6:00 garage parking is $3.


on some special events such as hhn, garage parking discount begins at 9 or 10pm.

Made me think of hubby's recent business trip that we were able to tag along for (well, one day of it). Their valet parking charge (a hotel in downtown Vancouver) was the same as self-park. Until you read the full sentences. Valet charged $39 per day. Self-park was $39 per NIGHT. I imagine lots of people who don't read thoroughly have been surprised by a one night stay costing $78 for valet!
