We are staying at the Doubletree in Downtown Disney and want to make a few PS at the resort restaurants, but the parking issue is really confusing me. Please help!!! We will have our van, can we just drive up to the resort and park, do you get a ticket to place in your vehicle for a couple of hours if you have a PS. Should we try to take WDW transportation from a park???

There is no charge to park at any of the resorts and you should not have a problem parking to eat.

During the busy seasons, you may get a parking pass (when you arrive at the resort lot) that is only valid for 3 - 4 hours. This is especially true if you want to park at one of the MK resorts. Disney does not want you to park at the resorts if you are going to one of the parks - because it often results in no parking spots left for those actually paying to stay at the resort.

As long as you have a PS and plan to stay only for your meal and a look around the resort, you should not have a problem parking at the resort.

If you want to combine your PS with a visit to one of the parks, leave your car at the theme park lot and take Disney transportation to and from your resort PS.
