Hi,
Which hotel do you prefer to stay off site....We are hoping to stay between Universal and WDW....Somewhere close but reasonable....Has anyone rented a condo out this way???"If you have where do you get information about renting one....Never stayed off site but trying to make this trip a bit cheaper...We have children 5 and 12 so i would like to stay somewhere it's family like....Any suggestions
Thanks

Check the holiday inn family suite in Orlando. They rate
as one of the best family resorts in the area and all thier
rooms are suite.

Daystar - you've got some great suggestions from the other 2 posters.

My friends with kids the same age visited HIFS last year and loved it. We visited them there briefly and thought it was a fantastic place to stay with kids and they eat free too. The kids loved having a themed bunk bed room with nintendo. Less than 10 minutes to the WDW gates too, very direct.

Hotelkingdom.com is a very reputable wholesaler. Cypress Pointe Grand Villas is getting rave reviews, HK has great rates for them.

You can always go the timeshare users group www.tug2.net and rent a 2BR villa from an owner for a great price. We've done that and were extremely pleased.

if you are a gambler - you can try either
www.skyauction.com

or

www.priceline.com

on skyauction you want an ad for 7 days (not 1-14) these are generally the condo - also the ad should say $195 and $15 exchange fee - those are all the extra fees that there should be.

Sheraton's Vistana Village, Hilton Grand Vacation Club, there are several in that section. if you think you would like one - someone here should be able to tell you if it closer to WDW or SW us/IOA

See the index on the site of the page to Florida and hotels only

with priceline it takes more research to make sure you get a good price - the sooner to your arrival time the better

Try the Vistana Resort or Vistana Villages.

The best rates for Vistana are usually through Expedia.

There are seven pools, some with slides, also miniature golf, and a rec. room or two.

Our kids love Vistana!

You will read some posts on this board from people who thought that some of the villas are older and are showing some wear and tear, but we've always had great luck with the villas, older or newer.

The master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub in it, and the second bedroom has two double bed, along with tv,vcr...

Vistana also has a beautiful screened balcony on every villa.

We love it!
