Hi all

I just wondered if anyone has any advice on what we are planning for our trip?

We are visiting for 7 days over new year. We stayed at explorers 7 years ago the week before christmas and so know how cold it will be. With this in mind we have decided to stay somewhere more 'homely' and so I have found a lovely 3 bed cottage 5 mins drive from the parks. We are going to pick up a hire car from the airport (which we have never done done before - gulp!lol) and drive to the house and then drive to and from the parks each day. (we thought this might be better than queing up and fighting to get on the shuttle buses!) We are buying annual dream passports so parking is free but I am wondering how vast the car parks are?? I know they have moving walk ways but realistically how far will we have to walk and is there an area which is better to park in??

I have a romantic notion of us all soaking up the magic at the parks all day and then reutrning to our little cottage for hot chocolates! Im just not sure if the reality will match up?!!

We are also planning on a day in Paris to take in the major attractions.

How does this all sound to you experts??!lol I would really appreciate any feedback!

Hi!

I can't really help with your query, but thought I would BUMP it up the list!

There may be some useful info about the car parks and driving in the Very Useful Info stickies at the top of the boards.

Hopefully someone else will be able to help!

:)

The car park is vast and there is roughly a 10 minute walk from the first rows to the park entrance

Depending on what time of day/day of the week/holiday period etc etc you will be either shown into a row by a CM or you will be able to find your own.

The earlier you are there the closer you will be to the front but you can get lucky if you come say mid afternoon when the people have left and get front row spaces - This happens to us a lot ;)

There are moving walkways (like in airports) which you can use to save your legs - can be great at night after a long day in the parks - these are along the side of the parking rows so you can join them even if you are far back.

In winter we tend to park in the Vinci parking in Disney Village when we come for a few hours or in the evening as it's closer ..but you pay for this one -

Hth :goodvibes
