Staying off site...how to get bands?

Family is staying in their non-disney time share. How do they get their magic bands instead of just ticket cards? I'm on-site so I have no idea.

They are sold in just about all the major gift shops.

As soon as they enter a park, there will be clapboard MagicBand signs with an arrow pointing to the first store.

You can also get them Downtown Disney at the pin store. Make sure you have the tickets with you as they won't sell the bands without linking the tickets for you right that minute. I did it just a couple of weeks ago.

And they cost $12.95 plus tax.

If they have linked their tickets to My Disney experience, they can book Fp+ 30 days before each day of ticket use. Do they understand they do not need MagicBands at all? Their tickets will be tapped at Fp+ tapstiles and at entrance tapstiles.
