Staying off-site; can we still use Disney buses?

So this is a random question but I'm not sure of the answer. This summer we are headed to Florida and are staying off-site and not doing the parks or anything. Are we allowed to use the Disney buses from DS to get to a resort to eat at one of the restaurants? Not sure if that is even in our plan but was just curious because then we could just leave our car at DS and not have to worry about driving or parking.

You can use the boats, too. In case you want to go to Olivia's at OKW or Boatwright's at PO.
