Staying in the park without stay and scream

Hi all.
We have orlando flexitickets and HHN frequent fear passes if we are in the park before it closes can we stay in there and wait for HHN to begin or do we have to have stay and scream?

If you are in the park before park closing and have a ticket for HHN for that night, then you can stay in the park. Stay and Scream just means you have both a day park ticket (or AP or flex-ticket) and a HHN ticket (for that night or a frequent fear pass.)
