Staying Half Peak/Non Peak

Hi All!!! Happy Wednesday.

I am trying to break down our pricing analysis because Disney does not do that for you.

If we are arrive on a Non Peak Day but then the rest of our trip is peak will we be charged per day based on the peak or non peak pricing or is our whole trip non peak pricing because we arrive on a non peak day?? Lol..lots of peaks.

Also what is the tax in Orlando? Food and Room??

I believe for the dining plan you would be charged the going rate per day, just like if you have a room rate that changes during your stay, you are charged the rate for each day.

However, I don't know that for sure with the DDP.

I don't know the tax rate, but I do know that at least one resort has a different tax rate because it's in a different county.

Sales tax on food and merchandise is 6.5% for most of DW. I think it is All Stars and WWOS that are in a different county which has a 7% tax rate. In addition there is a hotel tax of 6% for all resort rooms.

I also believe that the cost of your dining plan will change depending on whether it is peak or non-peak rates.

I don't know why I didn't do this earlier but I put in tests online and figured out the dining plan doesnt change per day during your trip. If you arrive on a non peak you will be charged the non peak the rest of the trip.

Thats a great deal for me because I only am going to be there one non peak day anyways!


Now the only thing I can't figure out is that my total for my calculations should be $1,648 but I am getting charged $1,655.

I know its only a difference of $7 dollars but I am confused as to where that extra 7 dollars comes from.

Theres no extra charges for booking online is there?? I included the 12.5% tax for room and the 6.5% for tickets.
