Staying cool and crowds?

hey all - normally avoid this time of year, but going to Star Wars weekends in 3 days!!!
Appreciate tips to stay cool in the heat/humidity. I get crabby when I'm all sweaty and gross, lol.
Also, planning to head to MK late evening (10pm?) for the 24 hr event. Thoughts on how crowded it will be?

I think the only tip I have for you is that you will have to fake a different attitude towards the heat and humidity. It is horrible. There will be rivers of sweat rolling off of you and your whole body will feel yucky because of spending so much time in the heat. But if you go into it with full knowledge that it will happen, that you won't look super cute and that you and others will smell badly while all lined up together, it might get you through it better.

Make sure you know where there is A/C near you, study your maps. Walk through stores. Sit on the curb outside a store with an open door to get some AC rolling out. Bring deodorant or a little can of febreeze. Bring powder and frog toggs. Bring an umbrella to use while waiting for the parades. bring a towel to sit on. Bring a wet washcloth in a ziplock bag that you refill all day log with ice.

Star Wars weekends in the summer are a test of endurance and if you get done half of the things you set out to do you will be considered a winner.

HAve fun. I'll be there too. Feeling the same way as you and hiding in AC as often as possible.

There was another thread on here about dealing with the heat yesterday, this is what I posted there:
On our early September trips, my wife carried a pocket mister like this one. Besides that: rope drop every day, wear wicking loose dry-fit light-colored clothing, lunch inside in AC, drink lots of water, get free cups of ice water at counter service locations, carry gatorade/propel powder packets to mix with water, pool in afternoon, shower and back to park when sun went down.
